Winter Wonderland #36 - Blog Hop Card + A Special Card

Hi to all out there in Blogland today. It's nice to have you pop in to see what is on offer today. I have two cards to show you today although I only made one of them - there is a very special card further down this post.

I made the card above as the last requirement in the marvellous Blog Hop over at Winter Wonderland. The card is to be based on a theme of "Candy Cane Red and White" although they did say that the candy canes were not a must. It seemed an ideal opportunity to use Whiff of Joy's "Henry Mouse sitting on a Candy Cane". I coloured it using my trusty Copic Ciaos. The "paper" is a textured card and the snowflakes were cut with a Martha Stewart punch and an Alpine punch. A fairly straightforward card but one I enjoyed making. I hope you like it and that you can find a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think. I always enjoy reading what you have to say.
Now for:-
A Very Special Card

This is a very special card I just have to share with you. My neice Carol started card making not too long ago and I have been sending her some stamped images to help her get started. Now her eldest daughter Naomi had her 12th birthday last week and we sent her a card and a small gift. What a wonderful surprise we got in the mail yesterday. Naomi made this adorable thank you card and sent it to us.
I'm really chuffed with this because she took the time to make it herself. A budding blogger in the making perhaps. I know she pops in to my blog most days to have a look so I hope it will be a pleasent surprise for her to see her card here. Thank you so much Naomi we will treasure this card.
Well that's it for today. Thank you for popping in on me, go carefully and enjoy your crafting day.

Hugs,
