A Card for Daniel

Hi girls. Welcome to my blog. I am so pleased that you have visited and I just hope that you like what you find here. I don't really deserve your attention and I must apologise that I have not been keeping up with my blogging for the last few days. I have just not been up to it. Don't know what the problem is but I just have no energy so I have been resting as much as possible. Anyway, enough of my moaning, I have a card that I just had to make because today is the 3rd birthday of my gorgeous wee grandson, Daniel.
I have inked up "Magnolia's Winner takes All - Football Edwin", an Edwin image from one of my Magnolia club collections and coloured him with my Copics. The background is from my Nitwits Bumbleberry Cottage FBQ and I used bazzil as a mount. The large "3" and "Grandson" were cut on my Cricut and I replaced the the "5" on Edwin's vest on the stamp with a "3". It's a very simple card but when your 3 I don't think you need a very elaborate card.
I am not entering this card into any challenges.
It would be great if you had a minute to leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this. I love to read what you have to say and value every opinion you give.
I hope to feel like visiting you blogs today. I so much miss keeping up to date. have a great day, enjoy everything you do and above all stay safe and healthy.

A Very Special Anniversary

Hi girls welcome to my little corner of cyberspace. I am so pleased that you have found a minute to drop in on me. I hope you enjoy your visit.
I am afraid that I have been a very poor blogger again for a few days but I have just not had the "oomph" lately. However while I was out of commission and not going near my craftroom hubby took the opportunity to do something I have been dreaming of for ages. When he did out the small bedroom as a new craftroom for me some months ago he left the old carpet - a horrible green thing that I have never liked. Well it has gone to be replaced by some beautiful maple wood flooring. It's gorgeous and makes the room so light. Poor thing rediscovered muscles he had forgotten he had.
This card was made for a very special couple celebrating a landmark anniversary. William's oldest sister and husband had their Golden Wedding Anniversary yesterday. They are so devoted to each other and have been so close to us over the years. I am entering this card into two challenges. Firstly Moving Along With The Times where the theme is "Things with Wings" and secondly Delightful Challenges where the theme is "Distressing/Vintage" - I have gone for the vintage look.

I have used gold mirra card and cream bazzil as mounts and background. The main panel is a patterned gold mirra card. The hearts are die cut and the pattern on them is created by using a swirl stamp with versafine and heat embossing with gold embossing powder. The butterflies are cut using a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbons are from my stash and the lettering is created on MS Word.
As always any comments you might have time to leave will be so much appreciated. I value all you say about my cards. Have a great day, enjoy your crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #200 - DT Card

Hi girls. Thanks for dropping in on my wee blog today. You are most welcome to browse around and take what ideas might feel worth having. I would love to think that my work gives some inspiration to others - I know I get a lot from browsing blogs.
I've had a couple of bad health days this week but I was cheered up immensely when I heard today that I won the candy put up by Lisa Jane over at My Makes 'n' Me. You should give her blog a visit she is a very talented lady.
Well it's Thursday again and time for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge where the theme this week is

Music and Dance

so why not nip over there, have a look at the fabulous DT creations and have a go yourself. There will be a fantastic prize up for grabs because this week's sponsor is Whimsey Stamps.
For my card I have inked up one of my favourite Penny Black images called "Ode to Joy" and coloured it using my Copics. The design papers I unfortunately don't have names or makes for but I have combined them with bazzil as a mount. The flowers are of course from Wild Orchid although there are one or two others in there too. The ribbon is from my stash.
Any comments you might have time to leave will be welcomed with great interest because I love reading your views on my cards. I get so much help from them.

Just Doodling

High girls, welcome to my wee blog. I hope you enjoy a good browse. I am so pleased that you have found time to drop in. I have had a good play about with my CD set of Tatty Teddies to produce these two cards. I normally prefer stamped images "but you know who moans" a bit about all the discs I have that I never use (according to him) - he just doesn't understand lol.
The first card is a Tatty Teddy with balloon and parcels. I coloured it with my Copics and used design papers from the disc along with some bazzil as a mount. the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

The second card is actually decoupaged from an image I printed more than once to get the pieces I needed. The papers are from the CD and one of my Nitwits collections with bazzil as a mount and again I used Copics to colour. The white panel is embossed using a Swiss Dots folder. The heart border across the middle is also from the CD rom. The flowers and gems are from my stash.
I am not entering any challenges with these cards - I made them for the fun of it.
If you have any comments to make on these - maybe even just to express a preference - I would love to read what you have to say. I know it takes more time but I would love to hear from you if you have a minute to spare.
Have a great day and above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #199 - DT Card

Hi girls. Thanks for dropping in on my blog today. I am so pleased to have you here. I hope you find something that gives you some ideas or inspiration.
This card is my first this year for Cute Card Thursday after a short break over the holidays. the theme for the challenge this week is:-

You're Having a Laugh

so we want to see something funny or lighthearted.  The sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy so there will be a fabulous prize up for grabs so drop over, have a look at the wonderful DT gallery and have a go for yourself.
I must admit I struggled a wee bit with this one myself because I don't have any comic images so I went for this cheeky (in more ways than one) "Fairy Kiki" from Stampavie by Mo manning. I coloured her with my copics. It was certainly a good exercise in doing skin tones. The design papers are "Summer Breeze" from Trimcraft and I also used bazzil as a mount. The border was cut using a Martha Stewart deep border punch and the dragonfly was cut with another MS punch. The flowers are by Wild Orchid and the glitter, gems and ribbon are from my stash.
If you have any thoughts on this card please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for your time - have a great day and keep safe and healthy.

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in on me today. You are most welcome and I hope that you might enjoy what is on offer. I appreciate you taking the time and I hope you feel you visit is worthwhile.
I am entering today's card into the current Just Magnolia Special Monthly Challenge where the theme is "Anything Goes". I have inked up one of my magnolia Club Tildas and cut out a circular panel from it and coloured it using my Copics. I used plain white paper and layered it. the top sheet is embossed using a Cuttlebug folder and is edged down each side using a Martha Stewart Doily edge punch. I used the same ounch on the edges of the bottom paper as well. All the curves on the edges are highlighted using pink ink. I have surrounded the image with a ruffled ribbon and added a bow. the ribbon, glitter and gems are all from my stash.
This is a fairly simple card but I really enjoyed making it so I hope you like it. Any comments you might have time to leave will be much appreciated because I value your opinions and love reading what you say.
I trust that you will have a great day, enjoy your crafting and blogging and above all, stay safe and healthy.

Simon Says ... Something New

Hi girls. Thank you so much for dropping in on my blog today. I hope you enjoy your visit.
Well I'm back after a festive holiday break. I hope you all had a great time and that Santa was good to you. I have not been keeping the best of health and he who must be obeyed insisted that I take a break from blogging and crafting. Although I still feel pretty drained I think I have been missing long enough and am keen to get back into the swing.
This is the only card I made while I was away at my son and daughter-in-law and I am entering it into the Simon Says Stamps Challenge where they want "Something New". I have inked up two Magnolia Club stamps that I have never used before and combined them to create Tilda sitting on a gift box. I coloured them with my Copics. The papers are from 5th Avenue and the flowers are from Wild Orchid. The doily is cut using a Marianne Designs die.
I hope you like this card and if you have a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think of it I would love to hear your views.
Have a great day and enjoy you crafting. Above all stay safe and healthy.
