Hi all. Hope everything is well with you and that the weekend will be dedicated to crafting, or for those of you who live near enough, browsing (and of course buying) at the NEC.
Hubby and I were out for a meal last night with some of his old pals (and wives) from his Gas Board days. Goodness, its 12 years since he left there. It's nearly 3 years since we were all together the last time so it was good to catch up. There were 15 of us so we had a good time.
The challenge this week over at Crafts 4 Eternity was a recipe that required us to use their Sketch and add at least one Paperclip and 2 Ribbons. I used a new stamp from Inkadinkado, No. 98177.P, (bought at my favourite shop, Stampaholics in Perth). Not my usual style but I hope to use it on "man" cards. The papers are Coffee Dot from Bo Bunny, an unnamed Cream with Brown Spots and Brown Shimmer from Meridian Import Company. The embellishments are all from my stash. There are two ribbons, a narrow brown one on top of a wide net one and the round metal swirls are fancy paperclips. The sentiment is one from a set available from Suzette over at Crafty Sentiments - why not pop over to have a look at what's available.
I would love to know what you think about this one because I was slightly out of my comfort zone. If you have a mo to spare please drop me a comment. I love reading them.
Hugs,
Fiona x

Beautiful Card Fiona, love the colours and embellishments. Sounds like you had a good night out, isn't it good when you have a great night, no kids etc, etc, I stayed in last night, grandson had friend staying, I am up at 6am, in pain as usual, now in more pain, as I have just slipped on my 17 year old son's Wee.....he was out and has wee'd all over my floor, did'nt see it and slipped, I have all the kids coming through from Dundee tonight for our Firework display and I am hobbling....can't even wake him up, Teenagers who would have them, if it is not cleaned up before his Dad gets up there will be trouble with a "Capital" T here in Edinburgh....sorry for going on, I am off to finish the blog hop for Jaimie, Hugs Avril xxxx
ReplyDeleteHi MIL, this is fab, love the colour scheme and the new stamp, I am starting to buy more of these type of stamps, they make much quicker cards!!!!
ReplyDeleteGot your tilda's yesterday, the NEC was really busy, I went in the afternoon and had to wait untill later in the day to get close to my favourite suppliers as it was getting silly, I also managed to avoid tripping over these silly trolley things people insist on taking with them........ Pretty dangerous when they are dragging them behind them and suddenly change direction or stop with no warning, I nearly got taken out a few times......LOL, you would hate the it I think, far too busy. I felt so sorry for those who were not as agile as myself........ Much better to go late in the afternoon, you get around quicker and safer!!!!
Going back today though as ticket allows a second visit, taking my Canadian friend Diana, won't be spending much today though, got a few things to go back for but that's it for me until after Xmas (apart from things on order at Stampeezee tho).
Anyway, I better get dressed and get ready for the NEC battle.......lol..............glad you had a lovely meal last night, it's great to catch up with old friends, bet dad was in hi element.
Will try and call tonight.
Hugs
Sarah
