Pink and Black

Hi girls. I hope you are ready for the weekend with lots planned. We are being invaded in Kinross this weekend. This is "T in the Park" this weekend. For those who don't know it's Scotland's largest pop festival and around 85,000 visitors are expected. The population of the town is under 5,000 so there is a mass influx. Within 1 mile of the house there is a tented village where all the revellers are camped out. Surprisingly we don't hear a lot of noise and in the past there has been little or no trouble - people seem to come for a good time. It's a bonanza weekend for the local shops with streams of people walking in out of Kinross to buy their vitals for the weekend. It all ends on Sunday night with a massive fireworks display which we have a grandstand view of from our back garden.
Unfortunately "T in the Park" tends to bring the rain with it and it has been very dull and overcast so my photograph of today's card is not the best - believe me it looks better in reality.
The main paper is paper is from Stampin Up and I have used Bazzil in green & black as mounting cards. The black card is punched using a Martha Stewart border punch and I used a broad ribbon from my stash and tied a bow in it. The image is "Blush" by Penny Black. I thought that this would look better on this card than a character image.
Thank you so much for calling in to my blog. I hope you like this card and I would love it if you had a minute to leave a comment letting me know what you think. I value your opinions. I hope you have a great weekend and get loads of crafting done. Take care and stay safe.
Hugs,

  3. WOW hun! This is toatlly fantastic!! I love it to bits!! You could enter some challenges with this one - Crafts and Me want black, pink and white, and Daring Cardmakers want silhouettes.
Hope the weekend goes well for the revellers. We have our own festival end of July - Speyfest. Four days of thudding drums that make the old mortar fall out! (we only live about 200yds from the site - ugh!! Fortunately they do play some good fiddles (Fochabers Fiddlers) and have a damn good craft fair on the Saturday. I'm not at the fair this year though - got too darned expensive to have a table!!
    Have a good weekend hun!
    Hugs,

My daughter is currently over at T in the park it's a bit wet! It's to be sunny tomorrow so hopefully the tent will have dried out before they have to pack up to come home.

  12. Hi Fiona I'm back, had a lovely birthday and a great holiday. Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my blog you're so sweet!
I love this card, the colours the image the layout everything about it is just beautiful.
As you said the weather here is terrible today too, glad I'm not camping out...but the kids don't even notice the rain do they. My two Sons have gone to the Stonehaven folk festival this year instead of T in the park, I suppose it will be the same weather up there...so I'll have loads of mucky stuff to wash when they get home...lol
