A Boy Card

Hi girls, thank you for calling in to my wee blog. It brings a smile to know you have visited. I hope you enjoy your visit and find something to inspire you for your own creations. I hope you are enjoying the weekend and that the weather is not spoiling things for you. saturday was fairly windy here. If you have been watching the Open Championship Golf on the telly we are just 25 miles away so you will have an idea what it has been like.
Anyway, to important stuff. I made this card without any challenge in mind but I fancied trying something for a boy. I inked up "Fish Bowl" by Sugar Nellie and coloured this great wee guy using my Copics and Polychromos Pencils. The paper is Doodlebug powder blue and the ribbon is from my stash. This card is not my usual highly embellished type but sometimes less is more. I would love to know what you think of it so if you have the time it would be much appreciated if you could leave a comment giving your views. I always find your opinions helpful and encouraging so please don't leave without letting me know you have been.
I hope you have a peaceful and restful Sunday and enjoy any crafting you do.
Hugs,

  4. I agree hun, sometimes less is more. Boys don't need too much froo-froo and stuff, so this is perfect!

  7. How Sweet Fiona!! I just love your image and your coloring!! I agree that less is more on a boys card, that is why I find them so difficult.
    Happy Sunday!

  12. Perfect boy card Fiona. I think less is definitely best for male cards too. When I made a birthday card for my nephew last week I only added some buttons and card candy. I think a teenage boy would probably be horrified to get a "fancy" card lol!

Beautiful today but still windy here - we're near several links golf courses too!

    Take care,

    Kat xx

  14. Hi Fiona
It is lovely to be back visiting you again today, I went into respite for a couple of weeks but became ill whilst there so they kept me until this week to recover lol.
Anyway onto more important things I hope you and William are keeping well and enjoying the better weather? I love this card, I think it is a great image for both a child and adult plus it's perfectly embellished for a boy.

  19. This is a great male card, love the design...I really struggle for idea's for men, it's hard to think of embeli's to use, plus theres not as fun in my opinion, too many lovely girly things I love using....lol

Have to do catch up after the weekend's....Hubby works away, so I can't really spend it on the PC while he's home can I, so Monday morning's I make a big pot of tea and catch up on all I have missed over the weekend...

Fabulous card, love how you designed the ribbon too...
