Cute Card Thursday # 190 - DT Card

Hi girls. A very warm welcome to my wee blog - it's fantastic to have you visiting here. I do hope you find some crafting delights that please the eye. We are getting well into November already so over at Cute Card Thursday the theme for the challenge this week is:

Reds for Remembrance

so we want to see plenty of red on your cards. This time round the sponsor who will be offering a fabulous prize for the lucky winner is Simon Says Stamp so after you have had a gander at the DT creations on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog why not have a go for yourself and be in line to pick up a fantastic prize.

My offering this week is a very traditional Remembrance Day poppy card. I have used one of my favourite digi images created by Teri over at Delicious Doodles (her artwork is stunning - well worth a visit to her site). I have coloured this using a mix of Promarkers and Copics. The design paper is from the "No Worries" paper stack by GCD Studios and a spotted Bazzil (you need to zoom in tight to see the spots) as a mount. The second photo shows that I used a strip of the DP to embellish the inside of the card. The ribbon and "nail heads" are from my stash and the sentiment was created in Microsoft Word on my laptop.
I hope there is enough about this simple card (good or bad) to encourage you to leave a comment telling me what you think of it. I do value everything you say about my creations. I also love to know who has been visiting.
I hope you are having a good week so far, getting ready for the weekend and above all that you are managing to stay safe and healthy.

  14. Hi Fiona, this is absolutely stunning. Your colouring on the poppies is just amazing and they look so real. I love the colour combo on this one the soft green really makes the red POP off the card. Amazing work. Love it.

  18. Your coloring is so gorgeous on this that I thought it was a printed photo rather than a stamp. Teri is fab, isn't she? Your coloring really brought this to life, though. Fabulous! xxD
