Simon Says ... Let it Snow

Hi again to anyone returning to my blog and a warm and friendly welcome to you if this is your first visit.
What a day this has been. Woke up to a driveway and local streets just one sheet of pure ice - not easy to negotiate on crutches (Santa please take them away when you leave me the new back and hips I asked for. Lol). 8:30am at the surgery for the nurse to dress the large sore on my heel. 2pm at the dentist for a regular checkup. 5pm back to the surgery for the same nurse, my pal Liz, to get my Swine Flu Injection (apparantly an asthmatic in my age group qualifies). Do I sound as though I'm moaning? - I hope not.

I made this card for the Simon Says .... Let it Snow challenge. I used two stamps here. The background is a new Magnolia image "Winter Forest" which I stamped on top of A Penny Black stamp " Caroling Trio" from the "Slapstick" range that I masked to give the effect of the furries in front of the trees. The paper is "Blizzard" by Doodlebug Designs Inc. I used Copics Ciaos and "Stickles" to colour the images and the flowers are handmade. The ribbon is from my stash of goodies (soon to be replenished by Santa I hope).
If you like this card why not let me know by leaving a comment. Every comment I get is treasured because I get so much joy reading them and so much help and encouragement from them. It's been a pleasure to have you and I hope you'll come back shortly - I try to post a card every day. Enjoy your carfting day.
Hugs,

  1. Hi Fiona, how are you after your swine flu jag? I got mine the other week. I tend to avoid going out in this weather like the plague, it terrifies me incase I fall. Really simple but so effective card, love those magnolia trees and the mice are so cute. Hugs Dawn Marie.xx

  14. Hi Fiona, you sound like you have had a busy day.....and not an easy one by the sounds off it...hope things improve tomorrow, do you know when I go from Edinburgh to Dundee and back we always get the worst weather and temperatures at Kinross....honest we look at our temp gauge and it goes down by 1 degree and if it suddenly starts raining we know we are at Kinross....so I pity you the weather....but on a lighter note I am loving this card, such a fab image, Hugs Avril xxxx
