Creative Inspirations #50 & Stamptacular Sunday #92

Hi girls. Thank you so much for dropping in to my blog today. It's great to have you here and I hope you like what you find. This will be the first time in months that I have posted a card two days running and hopefully I w ill be able to keep it up but we'll see how things go.

Today's card is an easel card that I made for a very special occasion and with two challenges in mind. I found out on Christmas Day when I phoned old neighbours of ours who emigrated to New Zealand 15 years ago that their oldest daughter who was just a little girl at the time is getting married at the end of this month. This gave me the opportunity to use some new heart shaped doilies that I bought and this fits in with the challenge over at Creative Inspirations where the theme is to use a new element and the inspirational photo over at Stamptacular Sunday was of a bride.

Front of the card.

The image I have used is Lili of the Valley's "Bridal Couple" coloured using my Copics and the design paper S.E.I.'s Juliette. The heart shaped doilies are from Joanna Sheen and the lace ribbon and organza ribbon are from my stash.

Base of the card.

I used copious amounts of Wild Orchid flowers and pearl embellishments on both the front and base of the card and used a Martha Stewart corner punch to finish off the design paper. I made a plain white box and lid out of card to put it before puting it in the padded envelope for posting. I hope it crosses the world safely.
