One Card - No Challenge

Hi girls, thank you for calling in to my blog. It is great to have you here. I hope all is well with you and that you are managing to cope with the winter if you are in the northern hemisphere. The snow has arrived back here again so it will be interesting to see what havoc it creates this time.
I almost feel that today's card is a bit of a cop out because it is far more basic than my normal stuff. The truth is I have not been having a good week and I am easily tired. I did not make this for any challenge but just to try to keep my hand in. I apologise for the quality of the photo but the light has been anything but good for taking photographs and I had to use artifical light which distorts the colours. The image is Lili of the Valley's "Fairies - Bouquet" coloured using a mixture of my Copic Ciaos and Polychromos Pencils. The papers are both printed from a CD I have and the flowers are from Wild Orchid. The punched border is Martha Stewart's Doily Lace.
I hope you like this offering and I would love it if you had time to leave a comment because I love reading them. Take care and stay safe, warm and healthy.
Love and Hugs,

  1. Oh Fiona, this card is in no way a 'cop out'!! It's absolutely gorgeous - the simplicity of the embellishments allows the image to really shine! And those papers are just lovely! Sorry to hear you're getting so tired easily ... I hope you're able to rest up and start feeling better soon! Hopefully the snow won't wreak too much havoc in the community!
    Hugs, Danielle

  10. Hi Fiona I love this card, the layout is fab and that LOTV image is just gorgeous.
I was up in Blaigowrie at the weekend at the Angus Hotel. Had a lovely time at a Beatles tribute Christmas dinner dance.
The drive up was very picturesque but on the way back on Sunday it was very icy. Got home safe and sound.
    Hope you feel better today.
    Hugs

  14. Sorry you are having a rough time Fiona but it certainly isn't reflected in this lovely card. The coffee colours are very soothing and perfect with that little fairy. The snow over here is desperate, two solid days now, fed up with it already. Hope you feel better soon.
