Magnolia All the Way

Hi girls. Thanks for calling in to see me I'm glad to have you here. What a funny day yesterday was weather wise. It was hot but overcast most of the day with some sunny spells, then at night the heavens opened and rained as thougfh it had never rained before. Gave the garden a good watering.
I've made another card for today that I won't be entering into any challenges. I'm not really convinced by this card - I can't put my finger on it but there is something that doesn't feel right about it. The two images are both Magnolia's. I have used " Tilda with Three Flowers" and I have seated her on the "Honey Jar". They are coloured using Copics for the skin and Poychromos Pencils for everything else. The paper is Magnolia's "Once Upon a Time" and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the vertical border. The embellishments are all from my stash.
I would love to hear what you think of this card and if you see anything I may have missed I would love to know. Thanks for taking the time to call in and assure you I won't be offended by anything you say. I value your opinions.
Have a great start to the week, enjoy your crafting and take care.
Hugs,

  2. You've made a very pretty card Fiona! I love Tilda sitting on the honey jar! I think maybe I would have distressed the edges of the white oval with some blue distressing ink to just soften the harshness of the stark white. BUT, I think your card is gorgeous! Those silver flowers are fabulous!

  8. I think it is lovely! The only thing I would have done is put the flowers touching the oval shape maybe. Other than that it's fab!
We had a good dose of that rain too, but in the evening up here. We must have passed that one onto you guys down there! LOL At least it washed the dust off the car!
    Have a great day hun.

  12. It's a lovely card Fiona maybe it's because it's a long shaped card rather than standard square that it doesn't feel right? but she is a lovely image and your flowers are lovely as always! Hgs Rebekah
