MAWTT #78

Hi girls. I hope all is well with you at the minute. I know that some of my regular visitors are going through tough times at the minute with illness and family responsibilities and I trust that things are on the up for you all. I am still not making a lot of progress but at least I am still able to do some crafting and blogging. I appreciate all of your visits and for those of you who have been leaving comments I am due you a big thank you. It's so encouraging to hear from you.
I made this card with the Moving Along With The Times challenge in mind and followed the wonderful sketch they gave.
I inked up the Snowman from Inkadinkado 99507 and coloured him using my Copics. The papers are My Mind's Eye - "Holly Jolly - Candy Canes" and Bo Bunny's Back to Back "Tis the Season to Deck the Halls". Red Bazzil was used as a mount. The snowflakes are cut with Nestabilities and a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbons and gold spray are from my stash.

Is it Time for a Snowman? plus an Award

Hi girls. Thank you so much for calling in to see me today. You are so welcome. I just hope you find something here you like.
Well the forecasters have promised that we won't have rain next week - we'll have snow instead. So I went for a snowman for this card. I'm not entering it into any challenges.
The image is a Snowman by Giordano and is coloured using my Copics. The paper is My Mind's Eye's "I Believe - Berries" and I have used red Bazzil as a mounting card. I used Wild Orchid flowers and used sealing wax and a snowflake seal to position the ribbon . The ribbon and glitter are from my stash.

For the Fun of It

Hi girls. Weather is still dreadful and according to the forecast for next week to get far far worse. White stuff supposed to be on the way. Still my day is brightened by the fact that you decided to drop in on me here and I hope your visit is a good experience for you too. It would be great if my work inspired you in your own crafting.
This card was made just for fun. I inked up Magnolia's "Flying Angel Tilda" and a miniature of a larger stamp called "Starlight Tilda". They are coloured with a mix of Copics and Polychromos Pencils. The paper is by My Mind's Eye and is the reverse side of "Colourful Christmas - Merry Dots". The flowers are by Wild Orchid and the ribbon and glitter are from my stash.

Cute Card Thursday #138

Hi girls, thank you for calling in to see me. I hope your visit brings a little preasure and that you find something that might inspire you in your own crafting.
The weather here continues to be dreadful so I think we are saying hello to winter. It's getting colder so I wonder is the white stuff will be arriving.
Todays card was made to be my second entry to this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge where the theme is anything goes.
I have inked up on of my Inkadinkado stamps which is a stag with wording through it using Cranberry Adirondeck. The papers are "Eskimo Kisses" by Basic Grey, "Dancer and Prancer" by Flair Designs and "Holly Jolly - Jingle Bells" from My Mind's Eye. They were given to me by my friend Kathleen over at The Daisy Chain. They are mounted on Bazzil also from Kathleen. The large snowflakes were cut using a Martha Stewart punch and everything else is from my stash.

ABC Challenge & Cute Card Thursday #138 & An Award

Hi girls. I hope you are all well and having a great time crafting. The weather is absolutely atrocious beside us at the minute, so there is no excuse needed to justify spending time in the craftroom. Wet, windy and cold - winter is definitely on the way.
Thanks for calling in to see me here. I hope you find something to make it worth your while.
I am entering this card into two challenges. ABC Challenge is "H is for Holidays" (I hope the Christmas theme qualifies) and Cute Card Thursday where "Anything Goes".
The image is Lili of the Valley's "Carol Singing" and I have coloured it using my Copics and Polychromos pencils. The papers are printed from one of my CDRoms and I have used a polka dot Bazzil as a mounting card. The large snowflakes are cut using a Martha Stewart punch and the medium and small ones are cut using a Nestabilities die. I have used lilac and white glitter card and the gems and stash are from my stash.

Mojo Monday #164

Hi girls. I hope all is well with everyone out there is cyberspace. I know that some of my regulars are going through the mill at the minute and I assure you that you are all in my thoughts and sprayers for a speedy recovery.
Thank you for calling in to see my blog - I so enjoy you being here. I hope you like what you find here. I decided that I would dip a toe in the water and have a go at a challenge again. I loved the sketch over at Mojo Monday and this card is my attempt.
I was fortunate enough to win this stamp in the candy Vicky over at Kip's Cards offered at the beginning of the month and thought it was time it feautured in a card. It is one of Lili of the Valley's new stamps called "Rosie with Cake" and I have coloured her using my Copics. I printed two of the papers from a CD Rom I have and created the third one using a stencil and mica paints. The Wild Orchid flowers, ribbon and gems are from my stash. I finished off with some Crystal Laquer, stickles and glitter. They don't show terribly well in the photograph unfortunately.

Time for Frosty

Hi girls. It's good to have you here at my blog. Thank you so much for calling in.
I have felt lately that reading back my blog posts over the last few weeks I am sounding a bit of a disaster area with this persistent kidney infection. Well just for a change I have broken the post on one of my dental crowns and had to visit the dentist yesterday and am going back today to finish the treatment. I was absolutely shattered when I got home yesterday so I'm not looking forward to today. Thankfully with William retired I have my trusty sidekick to help.
Enough of that - on to the card for today. I don't think it's one of my best but I let you judge. I am not entering it in to any challenges.
I have used Magnolia's "Frosty the Snowman". The background mounting and sky is Bazzil and I have mounted an overlay made with a Martha Stewart Round the Page Punch called "Flower Bunches". The trees and sledgers have been drawn in freehand and any colouring is done with my Copics. I have used a Marrianne Designs "Poinsettia" die to make the flower and the pearls are from my stash. I have used some glitter and stickles to add a bit of sparkle.
I am afraid I missed the best of the light yesterday and the photo is not the best I've ever taken.

An Easel Tilda

Hi girls. It's so kind of you to come and visit me in my little blog. If you get as much enjoyment from what you find here as I do when I visit my regular blogs I will be satisfied. The weather here has taken a distinct turn for the worse. Heavy rain and strong winds seem to be the order of the day. I hope you are a bit more fortunate.
I had some great news yesterday. I was fortunate enough to win Vicky's Candy over at Kip's Cards. I can't wait to see what I can do with it. Why not click on the link and pop over to visit her - you won't be disappointed.

I made this card without any challenges in mind just for the fun of it.

The image is Magnolia's "Tilda with Flower" coloured with my Copics. I paper pieced Tilda's dress and decoupaged her head to add some depth to the card. The paper were downloaded from a CD Rom I have and the flowers are handmade by me. The gems, ribbon are from my stash and the corners are cut using a Martha Stewart punch I borrowed from my crafting buddy Alison.

Birthday Wishes from Tilda

Hi girls. So nice to have you visit my little blog. If this is your first visit, I hope you are not disappointed with what you find, and if you are a regular visitor I am glad to have you back. I suppose many of you will have been to NEC and will have stocked up with loads of goodies. I look forward to seeing what you all create with your purchases.
I am afraid I'm still struggling a bit. I'm now on my 5th course of antibiotics and finding it difficult to shrug off the kidney infection but at least I have managed another card. I made it for the fun of it and not with any challenge in mind.
I have used Magnolia's "Fairy Dust Tilda" coloured using a mix of Polychromos Pencils and Copics. I drew a stool for her to sit on - I don't know if I like it. The papers are from a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Shabby pad and a pearly turquoise paper I was given by my crafting pal Alison. The Wild Orchid flowers, Stampin Up ribbon, stardust stickles and glitter are all from my stash. The border punch is a Martha Stewart.

A Special Birthday Card

Hi girls. Great to have you visiting my blog. I hope all is well with you today. Hopefully you will enjoy your visit here. In all fairness I must issue a long post warning. I've taken photos of this card from every angle so that you can see what it's all about.
I was asked by my friend Sally, the Avon lady, to make a card for her daughter Anna's birthday.

.
I decided to have a bash at a step card, better seen from this side view. I also tried to create a card that tells a story which goes as follows: A fairy decided to wash her best dress, wings and stockings and had to hang them out on her washing line to dry.

Meanwhile she had a bath in her bathroom with it's grand mirror so that she would be nice and clean for her fresh clothes.

Then she got dressed and went out to pursue her favourite pastime of smelling flowers.

The first two images are from Sheet 146 over at Whoopsie Daisy digi shop and the last one is Lili of the Valley's "Fairy on Tiptoes". They are all coloured using a mixture of Copics and Promarkers. The paper used to line the steps of the card is from a CD I have. I folded a sheet of Acetate in half ans draped it over the card by attaching it at the back and front. I used some of the paper to create a band along the fold at the top. The letters for the name along the front are cut from silver Mirra board using a cricut (Plantin Schoolbook cartridge). Everything else is from my stash.
I hope you like this card. It's my first attempt at this style. Sally liked it and is sure Anna will too but I would love to have your feedback if you can spare a minute to leave a comment for me. I do so love reading them.

A Card for Daniel

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in to my blog. I'm always glad of your visits. I hope all is well with you all. I hope you see enough here to make you want to come back. Well the dark nights are with us again and it makes the craftroom beckon all the more - I just wish I was fully fit to make the most of it but I am managing a wee bit more each day.
Today's card is a special card for a young lad called Daniel. He is the son of Claire over at CraftyC's Crafting Library. Daniel suffers from Aspberger's Syndrome and is celebrating his 13th Birthday on the 7th November and Claire is asking for anyone who has time to make him a card. He delights in the cards he gets each year. So this is my offering.
I downloaded a coloured image of Spongebob and Patrick (among his favourite characters) and printed it a few times on to card so that I could cut out the figures and layer them to give the card some depth. The design paper is a freebie Nancy Watt from a magazine. This is a very simple card and I hope it gives him some pleasure.

Totally Tilda #8

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in to my wee blog. It is great to have you here. I hope you find something to bring a bit of joy.
What a weekend this has been. Not the best healthwise - I've struggled a bit and had to spend long periods in bed. To make things worst, as many of you will know, BT lost all internet services in large areas of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England on Friday evening and it took ages to restore full services. I wasn't reconnected until nearly 5pm on Saturday. So I couldn't blog hop or leave comments. I am trying to catch up.
I made this card and decided to enter it into the current Totally Tilda challenge which calls for "Pink and Pearls". The image is Magnolia's "Romantic Tilda with Parasol" coloured with a mixture of Polychromos Pencils and Copics. The paper is Craft House's "Romantic Dreams" and I have used Bazzil as a mount. The corner is cut with a Cuttlebug die and the flowers are from my stash of Wild Orchid flowers. I have used a Martha Stewart Heart Border punch and used the small heart cut outs as embellishments. Everything else is from my stash.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #39

Hi girls. It's nice to have you here visiting my blog. I hope that there is something that will bring a smile and be pleasing to the eye. Your visits are much appreciated.
Well I am very slowly beginning to settle down to the new medication regime and actually attempted a card for a challenge today. This card will hopefully comply with the sketch given in the current Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge.
I used an image from the Crafty Individuals range along with a small parcel stamp from the Habico Christmas set and coloured them using my Copics and a Silver Leaf Pen. The paper is Crafty Creations Christmas Purple Scrolls. I have used patterned silver Mirra board as a mount. The glitter, gems Papermania brads and ribbon are all from my stash and the snowflakes are punched from purple glitter card.

Another Tilda

Hi girls. Thank you so much for calling in on me. I have been astonished at how many of you have been coming despite the fact that I haven't been posting every day. You are all such an encouragement. I am still not back to normal and can only craft for short periods but I am enjoying my visits to your blogs.
This is another card I have made just to keep my hand in. I don't intend entering it in to any challanges. The image is one of the Tilda's from my latest club set. I don't know her name but I think she is pretty. She is coloured using my Copics. The design paper is from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Shabby set. The flowers are by Wild Orchid and the ribbon, stickles and gems are from my stash.

Hi girls. I am glad you have found time to call in on me today. It is so encouraging to know that some of you call in regularly to see what I have have to offer. I am afraid that I am still not able to sit at my desk for long periods of time and a card is taking a lot longer than usual. I am however enjoying visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous craetions.
I have, however, a card to show you today. I have chosen a Christmas theme and have used Magnolia's "Santa Edwin" and I have masked Magnolia's "Old Wooden Bench" on top of him to make it look as though he was sitting. They are coloured using Copics. The paper is My MInd's Eye "Frosty Pines" and I have used plain lime green card as a mount. The border punch and snowflake punch are by Martha Stewart. Everything else is from my stash.

Another Card for Fun

This card has not been made for any challenge. I'm still not back fully in the swing and can only craft for very short periods so it takes a couple of days to do a card. This one is based on Lili of the Valley's "New Hat" coloured using Polychromos Pencils and Sansidor oil. The papers are Magnolia's "A Little Yummy for Your Tummy - Pink Muffin Dot" and Making Memories "Glitter Flower - Pitter Patter Sophie" - I was given this one by my friend Alison. I also used Bazzil Bling as a mount. The flowers are from my Wild Orchid stash. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and a silver spray.

A Christmas Card

Hi girls. Great to have you here visiting my blog today. I really appreciate you making the effort. Especially since I haven't been the most active blogger recently. I am afraid that the doctor has been changing my medication and I am struggling to settle into the new regime. Still, I sure I'll get there.
I managed to put together this Christmas card and despite the fact that I am not totally convinced by it I decided to post it anyway. Can't quite put my finger on what I don't like about it. The images were all freebies in a magazine, coloured with my trusty Copics. The poinsettia stamp is from the Medallion range by Impressions cut out and coloured with Copics. The design paper is by My Mind's Eye and I used red Mirra board as a mount. The snowflakes were cut from the red mirra board using a Martha Stewart punch and the gems came from my stash.

A Card for Fun - Tilda in Pink

The image is one of the Tildas I received in my latest club set. This is the first chance I've had to play with them. She is coloured using my Copics. The papers are from Stampin Up and I used Bazzil to mount. The flowers are a mixture of Wild Orchid and Magnolia flowers and the glitter and ribbon are from my stash.

A Big Thank You

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in to my blog. I'm glad that I have something for you today. I cannot thank you enough for your prayers, good wishes, cards and emails over the last few weeks while I've been ill. Your concern has been a great comfort and your kindness means a lot to me. I am surprised at how long it has taken to even begin to get over this infection. It completely wiped me out. I still feel weak but I'm getting there. I still have a catheter but I hope to get it out in the next couple of days. I have spent short periods in my craftroom (it took me 4 days to make this card). I have to admit that I spend a lot of time looking at my stash.
This card is for each and every one of you that visited my blog or contacted me while I was ill. I am so glad to be back again, although I don't think I'll be posting every day for a wee while yet.


The image is Magnolia's "Tilda with Hearts" coloured with my Copics and the papers are from Tim Holtz Idea-oligy Vintage Shabby. I used Dotted Bazzil as a mount. The doily's, flowers and ribbon are all from my stash.



The card is an easel card and I have photographed the front and the sentiment panel so that you can see more of the detail. The sentiment was made on my laptop.

A Quick Update

Hello ladies. Thank you for calling in to Fiona's blog. Those of you who have been regulars could be forgiven for wondering what on earth has been going on because she has been posted missing for so long. I am afraid that she has been suffering from a very bad kidney infection that is refusing to clear up easily. She is now on her third course of antibiotics but she is still suffering back pain from his kidneys and this on top of her normal back pain has made it impossible for her to do any crafting. The medication has floored her and made her feel very sick and she has spent all the time in bed. She has not been blogging at all. She had a catheter in for two and a half weeks but had to have it removed because it was causing so much discomfort. That was on Wednesday but she had to have another put in yesterday because she is still having problems.
She is feeling just a little better and I hope that she might be able to do some blogging before too long. She really appreciates all the comments and messages you have left on her blog and the emails she has received wishing her well. You are all so kind and have been a great support to her.
I hope the next post on this blog will be put on by Fiona herself.
