Oh No! Not Him Again

Hello ladies. I'm sorry to say I'm back again. For those of you who follow Fiona's blog regularly you will know that it's not good news when I post on her blog. For those who are relatively new, I'm William, Fiona's husband (or craft banker).
I am afraid that Fiona has come down with what the doctor described as a raging chest infection. She has been poorly in bed since Wednesday but had been able to post until yesterday because she had scheduled cards. I had to call the doctor in on Thursday and she put her on strong antibiotics. She came back in on Friday to check on her and was swithering about sending Fiona into hospital but decided to wait to see what happens. I have strict instructions that if things get worse I am to call a doctor out over the weekend just in case it is developing into pneumonia again. Saturday she didn't even feel like commenting. I hope we avoid hospital but would think that even if she starts to get better it will be a few days before she is making cards again.
I will post again if there is any significant news.
Kindest Regards,
William

Allsorts #91

Hi girls. Friday already - this week has just flown in and we are ready for another weekend. Where does the time go? Anyway, thank you for dropping in on my blog. I can only hope you like what you see.
Well this Saturday will be the last that Stampaholics in Perth will be open for business. As I said a few weeks ago Siobhan is having to close the shop for economic reasons. I will miss the shop but I will really miss Siobhan's encouragement and guidance. I wish her well in her new career operating the new scanning equipment in Perth Royal Infirmary.
I made this card for the Allsorts Challenge where the theme was "Inspired by Nature". I inked up House Mouse's "I give you my Heart" and coloured it using my Copics. the papers are digis from Bearly Mine Designs and I used Bazzil as a mount. I used a Martha Stewart double loop border punch for the bottom border. The ribbon was part of a bundle Tracy over at Country Mouse gave me for my Birthday last week. The flowers are by Wild Orchid and the pearls are from my stash.
I hope you like this card and that you might be able to find a minute to leave a comment letting me know what you think about it. Constructive criticism is always welcomed.
I hope that as you look toward the weekend you have a lot of good things planned. Above all stay safe and keep healthy.

Quite a few Challenges

Hi girls. I am really pleased you have called in on my blog. I appreciate you taking the time and I hope you enjoy what is on offer. I hope you are fit and well, and that your crafting juices are flowing.
You may remember that I made a wedding card a few weeks ago to send to the daughter of an old next door neighbour who now lives in New Zealand. Well the whole family live in and around Christchurch and as you can imagine we have had a worrying few days wondering about them after the earthquake. The good news is that we have managed to make telephone contact and they are all OK. They say the place is devastated and not a great place to be at the minute with all the aftershocks. There are so many people who are in such terrible circumstances at the minute. We are so fortunate here.
Well on to more pleasant things. My card today is being entered into five challenges (something of a record for me). I have followed the sketch for Friday Sketchers, the theme at A Spoonfull of Sugar is "Birthday Wishes", Stampin for the Weekend wanted "Monochrome", Tip Top Tuesday wanted "Bling it on" and Delicious Doodles had the theme "Glitz, Glam, Shimmer and Bling". I have used Magnolia's "Tilda with a Small Gift" and coloured this beautiful Tilda using Copics. The papers are downloads and the pearls, stickles, glitter and pearls are all from my stash.
I hope you like this card but even if you don't I would love it if you could find time to leave a comment letting me know what you think. Constructive criticism is welcomed as well.
Enjoy your blogging and crafting and stay safe and healthy.

Colour Create #64 & Cute Card Thurday #152

Hi girls. Thank you for dropping in on me on my blog. I hope I have something here to please the eye and encourage your crafting mojo. I had a great afternoon yesterday when my local blogging friend Kathleen visited. We had a whole afternoon of crafting (and chit chat) - it was fabulous.
My card today was made to enter two challenges. Colour Create had a colour combo of Chocolate, Strawberry and Cream and Cute Card Thursday wanted "Happy Shiny cards". I have inked up Magnolia's "Happy Tilda" and coloured her using my trusty Copics. the papers are from the Tim Holtz "Chic" collection. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I have used copious amounts of "Spray and Shine" - it doesn't show very well in the photograph but it is there.
I really enjoyed making this card so I hope you like as well.
CAN YOU LEAVE COMMENTS? - A couple of my regular commenters who have been missing of late have informed me that they have been unable to leave comments on my blog. If you are having bother I would appreciate it if you could drop me an Email (the address is in my sidebar under my profile) so that I can start to investigate if there is a problem. I am, of course, very grateful for any comments I am receiving so if you have time please try to leave one to let me know what you think of today's card. Thank you.
Have a great day, enjoy your crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

Creative Inspirations #99

Hi girls. I hope you are well as we have started another week and settled back into work routine. I am so pleased that you have found time to visit my blog and I hope you regard it as time well spent when you see what is on offer.
My card today is being entered into the Creative Inspirations challenge where the theme was "Plain and Simple". I used a Hero Arts "Dandelion" stamp and heat embossed the image with lilac embossing powder onto the plain white card - no design papers at all. I also stamped the image on the inside but didn't emboss it there. I cut an aperture with a nestie and used the cut-out for the sentiment which is Stampendous "Footprint Friends". I coloured the lilac background for the sentiment and glued it on the inside of the card to line up with the aperture. I added small butterflies inside and out and couldn't resist puting a small lilac bow at the bottom. I didn't half struggle with this one because I am used to using copious amounts of design papers, flowers and embellies.
I would love to know what you think of this because I am well out of my comfort zone with this simple look. It would be greatly appreciated if you could find time to leave a comment.

Welcome to my wee corner of blogland. I hope you find inspiration here and like what you see. I know I find a lot of real goodies when I do my blog hopping.

The papers are digi papers I bought from Bearly Mine. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the ribbon, stickles spray and glitter are from my stash. Unfortunately the glitz does not show very well in the photograph but it is there I promise.

I hope you are enjoying your crafting and would love to see you back here again. Stay safe and healthy.

Just Magnolia #93 & Stamp Something

Hi girls. Into the second half of the week already - time is flying by. Never enough hours in the day so I am very pleased that you are spending some of your time with me on my blog. I only hope you find something that will make it worth your while.
Today's card was made for two challenges. Just Magnolia gave us a fabulous sketch by Mina, and Stamp Something wanted something "For your Valentine" - in this case Tilda is writing to her Love. This is Magnolia's "Tilda Writing Diary" coloured with Copics. The papers are Basic Grey's "Dasher", and both sides of the double sided My Mind's Eye "Lush" - the floral paper. I used a Bazzil as a mount. The flowers are homemade from Bazzil using three different retro floral punches. The leaves are cut with a LLM.co punch. The ribbon and glossy accents are from my stash.
It would be fantastic if you could find that extra minute to leave a comment telling me what you think of this. Constructive criticism is always useful. I value all you opinions. I do obviously hope you like it.
Have a great day in everything you do but above all stay safe and healthy.

It's in the Bag - I Hope!

Hi girls. Firstly let me warn you that this will be a slightly longer post than usual with more photographs than usual. Having said that and hoping that I haven't put you off - Welcome to my blog. I hope you get something out of your visit here and that you will feel like coming back again.
I was asked by my friend (and Avon Lady) Sally to make a card for the birthday of a fiend of her daughters. I had made a card for her daughter that looked like a handbag and she wanted something similar so this is what I came up with. I am not entering it into any challenges. I concocted the shape for the bag because I didn't have a template and cut the pieces out of white card and covered them with a design paper that I printed off a CD Rom I have. I made it a nice girlie pink. The top flap of the bag decorated with flowers ties down with ribbon.

With the bag opened out you can see that I placed flowers and pearls in an arrangement on the facing side under a Happy Birthday sentiment. The inside is lined with the same paper. On the other flap you can just see a Tilda.

This photo shows her coloured using my Copics. I don't know what she is called so if you know please tell me. I mounted her on a criss-cross envelope I made. I covered the envelope using an unnamed spotted paper. I trimmed it with a Doily Lace border cut with a Martha Stewart punch. I hope it looks OK because I didn't have a template for this either. Inside the envelope is a tag with a sentiment called "Breezy Birthday" by Stampendous. This is stickled and glittered.
The flowers are wild Orchid and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I hope you are still with me and I hope you like this creation. I wait with baited breath to find out from any comments you leave for me if you think it works. I really need to know because I don't have a lot of time to make something else if this isn't suitable. Opinions please -they would be much appreciated.
Have a great day and enjoy your crafting and blogging. Above all, stay safe and healthy.
