A First Commision

Hi girls. Thank you for visiting my corner of Blogland. I really appreciate you taking the time. I hope you like what you see and it would be great if it gives you any inspiration or ideas for your own crafting. They say that as you get older time passes more quickly. Well I must be getting on because it seems to be flashing by from one weekend to the next.
I have never done a card to order before so this is a first for me. I got a phone call late afternoon on Wednesday from a lady who had been unable to find a suitable 21st Birthday card for her nephew in any of the local shops. The Newsagent had suggested that if she phoned me I might be able to help. She told me that her nephew was a mechanic who loved cars and was an avid fan of Glasgow Rangers Football Club. So far so good, but the problem was she wanted it for first thing Friday morning. I didn't have any suitable images so a quick visit to my friend Teri Sherman at Delicious Doodles and I found this "Vintage Chevvy". You should drop in and see her digi images, her artwork is gorgeous. Well she sent it within 20 minutes so I was off. I coloured the car using Copics. I Googled "Glasgow Rangers images" and came up with images of the official club tartan and club badges.
I enlarged the tartan and printed it out on good quality paper and used it as a design paper. I cut ribbons in the club colours and glued them on under the club badge that I had printed out on card and cut out. I printed the "21st" using MS Word and cut it out using a Nestie. I did an insert using alternative club badges and typed a verse.

The lady was very pleased to get such a unique card so quickly and said she loved it. I would love to know what you think so if you have time to leave a comment I would appreciate your opinion.
Have a great weekend and enjoy what time you manage to get with friends and family. Stay safe.
Hugs,
