Penny Black Week 111 & Stamptacular Sunday #69

Hi girls. Would you believe that it's the weekend again. Time seems to be racing by. I hope you have something special lined up for the weekend. There is a drop-in demonstration on Tim Holtz Ranger Inks at Stampaholics in Perth on Saturday but I won't be able to go because I don't have enough portable oxygen and although my back is beginning to ease up a bit I wouldn't be able to sit long enough. I really wanted to go but I'll just have to be content and craft instead.
Anyway, it's about time I got down to the business of the card I have posted. I made this card to enter the Penny Black Challenge and the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge both of which had the theme "Christmas in July". I inked up Penny Black's "Coming Your Way" and coloured it with my Copics. I masked the image and used my Hero Arts "Clouds" as a background. The papers are from the Dovecraft Winter Wonderland 8x8 Designer Pack. The snowflakes were made with an EK Success punch. I used sakura glaze to make footprints and sled marks behind the runners of the sledge. The additional presents are from stamps by Dovecraft. The flowersoft, ribbon and gems are all from my stash.
I hope you like this card and that you can find a minute to leave a comment to let me know you have been here and to tell me what you think of what you have seen. Thank you so much for calling in - I appreciate you making the effort. Have a great weekend and stay safe.

Just Magnolia Week 65 - Vintage

Hi girls, thank you for popping in to visit my blog. I think I managed to catch up with everybody yesterday after my day missing. I can't wait for the next couple of days to pass to see if this steroid injection is going to make a significant difference. It usually takes a few days to kick in.
Well I have made this card for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge where the theme was "Vintage". However it has just dawned on me that I am too late for the challenge - losing yesterday has messed up my planning. Ah well, not to worry I am posting it anyway. I don't know about you but Vintage suggests to me that the card should be distressed and in browns so this is the result. I inked up Magnolia's "Tilda with Dalcarlia Horse" and coloured her using my Polychromos Pencils.
I used a Papermania paper which is a classical handmade paper with flock. I also had a chnace to use my new Martha Stewart Double Doily border punch and cut a piece of card to put across the middle of the card. The flowers are from Wild Orchid.
I would be a great treat for me if you had the time to leave a comment to tell me what you think of this card. Your views are always welcomed.

Friday Sketchers #112

Hi girls, thanks for coming in to see me here. I am afraid I didn't manage much blogging yesterday after I got home from hospital. I had expected to be home about 2pm as usual after these procedures but it was in fact after 5pm when I finally got home because the epidural seemed to take a lot longer to wear off but if that means the steroid injection into my spine lasts longer this time I won't be complaining.
I made this card a couple of days ago for Friday Sketchers following their sketch. I used Magnolia's "Tilda with Flowers" and she is coloured using Copics. The butterfly paper is from Papermania and the other is by Basic Grey. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the other bits and pieces are from my stash. I hope you loike this card and that you will find a minute to leave a comment saying what you think. It would be much appreciated.
I will do my best to catch up with comments on your cards today to make up for yesterday.
Stay safe and enjoy your day.

Cute Card Thursday #122

Hi girls. Thank you for visiting my corner of blogland. I'm pleased to have you here and I hope that you find something you like.
I made this card to enter the Cute Card Thursday challenge where they gave us a sketch from Deb to follow. The image is Lili of the Valley's "On the Garden Wall" and I have coloured it with Copics and highlighted some areas with Sakura glaze pens. The main paper is "Juliette - Lad'ys Boudoir" from Crafy Bitz PA149 and I have put it through my Sissix in a Crafts Too You embossing folder. The smaller bright pink paper is from Stampin Up. the embellishments are Wild Orchid flowers and bits and pieces from my stash. I hope you have a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think of this card. I love to read what you say because it does help me.
Now before I forget I need to apologise that I will be missing from Blogland for most of today because I am due in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee at 08:30 to get another epidural to help ease my back pain. I won't be allowed home until mid afternoon and will probably have a lie down for a while so depending how things go I might not get much blogging done today. Please bear with me because I will catch up with all my usual blogs over the next couple of days. I have a card already made for posting tomorrow so at least I won't have to worry about having something to post for then.
I hope you have a great day and enjoy everything you do. Take care and stay safe and healthy.

Simon Says:- Martina's Sketch

Hi girls, thank you for coming over to visit my blog. You have no idea how much pleasure it gives me to know that you have been over to see my creations. I have been feeling a bit concerned recently when I saw how many of you are making Christmas cards because the thought had nver even entered my head yet. So in order to ease the conscience a bit I decided it was time I made at least one.
I decided to use the fabulous sketch Martine had provided over at Simon Says this week so that I would be able to enter a challenge with it. I used Magnolia's "Tilda with Mistletoe" and coloured her using my Copic Ciaos.I used Silver Mirra Card as a backing for mounts. The papers are from Basic Grey. the first one is "Eskimo Kisses - Starry Night". The name of the second with the snowflakes in pink and blue is unfortunately unknown to me. The snowflakes and corners are cut using Martha Stewart punches. The snowflakes are cut out of silver and sparkly card.
I hope you like this card and if you can find the extra time to leave a comment for me I would be thrilled to hear what you think of it. Your comments are a constant source of encouragement.
I hope you have a great day and achieve everything you set out to do. Stay safe and healthy.

Creative Card Crew & Totally Tilda #1 & Creative Inspirations #39

Hi girls. Thank you so much for coming to see my wee blog. I hope you find what you are looking for here and that there might even be something to inspire you with your own creation. You are all so kind for calling in each day. I value your visits and comments so much.
I made this card to enter three challenges. Creative Card Crew where they gave us a fabulous sketch to follow, the new monthly challenge Totally Tilda where they wanted "Chocolate Tilda" and Creative Inspirations where the theme was "Anything Goes".
I have inked up Magnolia's "Tilda with Flower" and coloured her with my Copic Ciaos. I paper pieced her dress from an unnamed brown spotted paper that I also used for the background. The other paper is Basic Grey's "Cappella - Prima Donna". The swags and corners are cut using a Marianne Designs die in my Sizzix Bigshot. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the other bits and pieces are from my stash.
I enjoyed making this card and I hope you like it. Perhaps you could find a minute to leave me a comment to let me know what you think of it. Every comment is appreciated and treasured. I get so much from each and every one you leave.
As we enter another new week I hope all goes well at work, if you work, and that those of you with kids on school holidays have a great time with your families. Stay safe and take care.

Sketch & Stash #40

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in. It's great to have you here for a browse. Sunday already - where has this weekend gone? I certainly haven't wasted it sunbathing - you need sun for that. the weather has been drab to say the least. Ah well it gives agood excuse for staying in and doing a bit of crafting.
I made this card to enter the Sketch & Stash Challenge where they gave us a fabulous sketch to follow. I revisited Magnolia's "Peachy Tilda" and coloured her with a mixture of Copics and Polychromos Pencils. The papers are by Graphic 45 - "Baby & Bride Collection" and I used Bazzil Bling to mount. I also used it to make my handmade flowers. Everything else is from my stash.
If you have a minute to spare it would be greatly appreciated if you could leave a comment to tell me what you think of this card. Your opinions are welcomed. I find them so helpful.
Enjoy what is left of your weekend and if you get a chance to craft I hope you get a lot of satisfaction out of it. Take care and stay safe.

Lili of the Valley #58

Hi girls it's nice to have you popping in to visit my blog. I know that now the schools in England have broken up for summer so some of you are going to have your hands full for the next few weeks. The schools in Scotland broke up a few weeks ago so all we need now is good weather and we can all enjoy a long summer. Chance would be a fine thing!
I hope you find something here to please the eye and bring a little joy to your crafting day.
I am entering this card into the Lili of the Valley challenge where they provided us with a fabulous sketch by Bev Rochester. I have inked up LOTV's "Teddy with Letter" and coloured this gorgeous wee chap using my Polychromos Pencils. I have used Stampin Up papers with Bazzil Bling as a mount card. I have used Wild Orchid flowers and everything else is from my stash.
Any comments you might want to leave will be greatly appreciated if you have the time. I get a lot of help and pleasure reading them.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the family time and if you can find time for crafting I am sure I will get the benefit when I visit your blog.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #32

Hi girls. I'm glad you could find time to call in to my blog. I hope you enjoy your browse through my cards and that they may even give you some inspiration. The weather has flipped again and yesterday was a day of sunshine. I'm glad to say I had a better day and enjoyed a visit from Kathleen from The Daisy Chain as well as being able to make a card for the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge where they gave us a sketch to follow.
I inked up Sarah Kay's "Puppy Love" and coloured it in using my Copic Ciaos. The paper are Basic Grey's "Eva" and I used Bazzil Bling to mount. The large flowers were cut in a Sizzix Big Shot using a die from Marianne Design Creatables. I added some stickles to these which are barely visible on the photograph. The gems are from my stash.
It would be much appreciated if you had time to leave a comment to tell me what you think of this card. Your views are always welcomed.
We are on the verge of the weekend again and I hope you are all set up for an enjoyable time with friends and family. Take care and stay healthy.

Card in a Tin

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in to have a look see at my wee blog. You are more than welcome to have a rummage about to see if there is anything that might help the mojo juices to flow.
What has happened to the weather. The rain in our area over the last 24 hours has been horrendous. Perth has been flooded despite having spent millions on flood defences. The trouble was that the water did not come from the river but from the sky. I just hope Stampaholics managed to stay dry. Which brings me neatly to today's creation.
I did not have a good day yesterday and wasn't feeling like a lot of crafting. I am therefor blogging a card I made some time ago in a class at Stampaholics. You know how I rave about Siobhan's classes and this card is a fantastic example of her talent and style. This card just screams Siobhan. I don't have a lot of detail about the papers or image so I'm just going to let the card speak for itself.
The photograph above is of the altered tin that the card goes inside.

The card is a multifold card with different images/sentiments on each facing side. There are a total of six faces.

This is a photograph of the front face that you see when you open the tin.

These are the next two pages that appear when you open the card out and they are followed by

these two pages before you come to the back face of the card which is shown below.

I love this card and I hope you don't mind me sharing an old unpublished project with you today. The design is Siobhan's although I made the card under her tutelage. Thank you for the benefit of your help and guidance Siobhan.
If you like this card feel free to leave me a comment to let me know what you think. I love to read what you have to say.
Why not nip over to the Stampaholics website where you will find more examples of Siobhan's creativity.
Have a good day crafting and above all stay safe.

Just Magnolia Week 64

Hi girls, thank you so much for dropping in here to have a look at what is on offer. I appreciate you taking the time and hope that your visit is worthwhile. This weather is beginning to be a joke. What on earth has happened to summer. I really feel for all you girls who have young kids on holiday from scheool. It must be a nightmare trying to keep them amused. can't help with the crafting.
Well I have made this card with the Just Magnolia challenge in mind. they provided a fabulous sketch to follow and this is my take on it. I inked up "Tilda with Blueberries" and coloured her with a combination of my Copics and Polychromos Pencils. The design paper is "Pitter Patter" from Making Memories. I was given this paper by Kathleen over at The Daisy Chain when she was over visiting me. I also used Bazzil Spot as a mounting card. the border is cut using a Martha Stewart border punch. The flowers and ribbon are from my stash.
I would love to read any comments you might have time to leave. Your comments are so encouraging and helpful. It is also nice to know who has been visiting my blog. I hope you have a great day whatever you are doing and that your crafting mojo is working for you.

New Magnolia Club Images

Hi girls, here again with another card. I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the week ahead. The weekends come around with frightening speed and are over before you know it. we just had a quiet weekend at home. Not much chance of anything else as long as I'm tied to this oygen machine. Anyway, can't complain, it gives me an excuse to do some crafting.
My latest batch of stamps arrived from the Magnolia Club so I decided i would use a selection of the stamps on this card. They all have a watery theme. I used a Dovecraft Designer paper by Kate Knight. the images I used were a mermaid Tilda, a seahorse, shells and a water plant. and I coloured them using my Copics and Polychromos Pencils. I used Sakura glaze to highlight them. The ribbon is from my stash. I am not entering this into any challenges.
If you have time to leave a comment I would love to hear what you think of this card. I really appreciate you making the effort.
Thanks for calling in. Had a great day and above all stay healthy and safe.

A Boy Card

Hi girls, thank you for calling in to my wee blog. It brings a smile to know you have visited. I hope you enjoy your visit and find something to inspire you for your own creations. I hope you are enjoying the weekend and that the weather is not spoiling things for you. saturday was fairly windy here. If you have been watching the Open Championship Golf on the telly we are just 25 miles away so you will have an idea what it has been like.
Anyway, to important stuff. I made this card without any challenge in mind but I fancied trying something for a boy. I inked up "Fish Bowl" by Sugar Nellie and coloured this great wee guy using my Copics and Polychromos Pencils. The paper is Doodlebug powder blue and the ribbon is from my stash. This card is not my usual highly embellished type but sometimes less is more. I would love to know what you think of it so if you have the time it would be much appreciated if you could leave a comment giving your views. I always find your opinions helpful and encouraging so please don't leave without letting me know you have been.
I hope you have a peaceful and restful Sunday and enjoy any crafting you do.

A First Commision

Hi girls. Thank you for visiting my corner of Blogland. I really appreciate you taking the time. I hope you like what you see and it would be great if it gives you any inspiration or ideas for your own crafting. They say that as you get older time passes more quickly. Well I must be getting on because it seems to be flashing by from one weekend to the next.
I have never done a card to order before so this is a first for me. I got a phone call late afternoon on Wednesday from a lady who had been unable to find a suitable 21st Birthday card for her nephew in any of the local shops. The Newsagent had suggested that if she phoned me I might be able to help. She told me that her nephew was a mechanic who loved cars and was an avid fan of Glasgow Rangers Football Club. So far so good, but the problem was she wanted it for first thing Friday morning. I didn't have any suitable images so a quick visit to my friend Teri Sherman at Delicious Doodles and I found this "Vintage Chevvy". You should drop in and see her digi images, her artwork is gorgeous. Well she sent it within 20 minutes so I was off. I coloured the car using Copics. I Googled "Glasgow Rangers images" and came up with images of the official club tartan and club badges.
I enlarged the tartan and printed it out on good quality paper and used it as a design paper. I cut ribbons in the club colours and glued them on under the club badge that I had printed out on card and cut out. I printed the "21st" using MS Word and cut it out using a Nestie. I did an insert using alternative club badges and typed a verse.

The lady was very pleased to get such a unique card so quickly and said she loved it. I would love to know what you think so if you have time to leave a comment I would appreciate your opinion.
Have a great weekend and enjoy what time you manage to get with friends and family. Stay safe.

Time for Reflections

Hi to all my girly pals in Blogland. It's nice to have you calling in here and I hope you find something to please the eye and give a bit of inspiration. The weather continues to be lousy but at least I'm feeling a bit better and I managed a bit of cardmaking.
This little miss is from Sugar Nellie and is called "Reflections". She is coloured using my Polychromos Pencils. The paper is from the Papermania Capsule Collection. the corners are cut using a cuttlebug folder and everything else is from my stash. I'm not entering this one into any challenges.
I hope you like it but will wait to see what you ahve to say about it in any comments you are kind enough to leave me. I love reading them so feel free to leave one if you have time.
Go carefully and enjoy everything you do today.

Happy Tilda

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in to my blog, it's great to have you visiting. Well another weekend has passed and another week to look forward to. We had better weather yesterday and the T in the Park revellers had at least a good last day, although I think all the rain earlier probably made the site a bit of a mudbath. The whole thing ended up with a fantastic fireworks display and we had a great view of it all from the house. Sleepy Kinross can now get back to normal for another year.
Well todays card is based on Magnolia's "Happy Tilda" and she is coloured usinf Polychromos Pencils. The papers are from Stampin Up, Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye. The flowers and ribbon are from my stash. I enjoyed making this card and I hope you like it. Any comments you might want to make will be very welcome. I love reading what you have to say.
Have a great day and enjoy everything you do.

Tilda in Flowers

Hi girls. Thanks for dropping in to see my blog. It's great to have you here for a visit.
Well it's easy to see that T in Park is on in Kinross this weekend because the rain hasn't stopped since the pop festival started. The local shops are doing a roaring trade in wellington boots. Lol. Still it finishes late Sunday night so the rain should lift soon.
I've returned to a more usual type of card for me. I have inked up Magnolia's "Maid Marion Lady Tilda" and coloured her using a mixture of Copics and Polychromos Pencils. The papers are both sides of Note Worthy's "Audrey Pink Floral" and the rest is all from my stash except for the middle large flower that I made myself.
I do hope you like this card enough to leave me a comment. I do so look forward to reading what you have to say about my creations.
Have a great day and stay safe.

Pink and Black

Hi girls. I hope you are ready for the weekend with lots planned. We are being invaded in Kinross this weekend. This is "T in the Park" this weekend. For those who don't know it's Scotland's largest pop festival and around 85,000 visitors are expected. The population of the town is under 5,000 so there is a mass influx. Within 1 mile of the house there is a tented village where all the revellers are camped out. Surprisingly we don't hear a lot of noise and in the past there has been little or no trouble - people seem to come for a good time. It's a bonanza weekend for the local shops with streams of people walking in out of Kinross to buy their vitals for the weekend. It all ends on Sunday night with a massive fireworks display which we have a grandstand view of from our back garden.
Unfortunately "T in the Park" tends to bring the rain with it and it has been very dull and overcast so my photograph of today's card is not the best - believe me it looks better in reality.
The main paper is paper is from Stampin Up and I have used Bazzil in green & black as mounting cards. The black card is punched using a Martha Stewart border punch and I used a broad ribbon from my stash and tied a bow in it. The image is "Blush" by Penny Black. I thought that this would look better on this card than a character image.
Thank you so much for calling in to my blog. I hope you like this card and I would love it if you had a minute to leave a comment letting me know what you think. I value your opinions. I hope you have a great weekend and get loads of crafting done. Take care and stay safe.

Tilda in Pink

Hi fellow bloggers. I am glad you have popped in to my wee corner of blogland to see what is on offer today. I hope you like what you find.
I don't know about you but I have had a day and a half with Blogger. I have not been able to leave comments at all so I'll have to play catch up. I also lost my background and it took forever to find out that the blog where I got it had lost access to it's server because of a dispute regarding charges. I have found one to use as a stopgap but I'll have to find another more to my liking.
Today I have decided to get a bit further into my comfort zone and have gone for an unashamedly girly card, and what could be more girly than Tilda. I have inked up Magnolia's "Tilda with Flowing Hair" coloured with a mixture of Polychromos pencils and Copics. The design paper is from Kay & Co. It has a pink circles and diamonds motif. The flowers, ribbon and lace are all from my stash. I hope you like the colour combo and layout and I look forward to finding out what you think in any comments you might have time to leave for me.
I hope you all have something lined up for the weekend and trust that you will have a great break from work. Take care and stay safe.

Thursday

Hi there girls. Nice to see you here again. I hope you find some pleasure and inspiration during your visit to my wee blog. I am beginning to get back into making a card every day although I still get tired easily. However I can always relax with the laptop on my reclining seat and enjoy the fabulous cards you are all making.
Now this card is something slightly different for me in that I have cut out the intricate image I used and mounted it to give some depth to the card. The image is Penny Black's "Nap Time" coloured using a combination of Copics and Polychromos Pencils. It is mounted using 2mm sticky pads on a background scene I created using a Hero Arts Design Block called "Clouds" and grass created using Polychromos Penscils. The design paper is a Basic Grey pattern Paper called "Euphoria". The ribbons and flowers are all from my stash. I am not entering this into any challenges.
I hope you like this card enough to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them so much.
have a successful day and stay safe.

Just for Fun

Hi girls. Thanks for calling in again. It's great to have you here.
Now was it just me or was Blogger having a bad day yesterday. I was having no end of bother when I was leaving comments and when I looked at my own blog at one point it was telling me I had 7 comments and when I went to look at them there were 17. If you didn't get a comment from me yesterday and you are one of the people I visit regularly them I am blaming Blogger because I did a full sweep yesterday.
Anyway, I made this card for today, if Blogger posts it for me, and used one of my favourite Magnolia images, "Tilda with Tulips" and coloured her using my Copics and Polychromos Pencils. I love this image - I hope you like her. The papers are My Mind's Eye "Pretty Please" and I used coloured cardstock as a mount. The flowers are all handmade by me. That's it really - a fairly straightforward card. I hope you like it and I look forward to reading any comments you are kind enough to leave for me (always assuming Blogger is playing ball today).
Thank you for your time and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment and inspiration from your bloghopping. take care and have fun.

Little Boy Blue

Hi girls, thank you so much for calling in to see my blog today. I really appreciate your visit. I hope your week is going well and that your crafting efforts are bearing fruit.
The weather here remains changeable but we are still having sunny intervals although it's windy. For the first time in a long time I ventured into Perth yesterday complete with my portable bottle of oxygen but only stayed about an hour. I was whacked when I got home but enjoyed the change of scenery.
I decided that blue would be the order of the day and went back to one of my favourite boy images, Sugar Nelliess' "Boys Best Friend". I love this wee chap. He is coloured using my Copics. The papers are Stampin Up's "Bashful Blue" and the ribbon is from mt stash. I hope you like this effort and can find time to leave me a comment to let me know what you think.
Take care and stay safe and enjoy all that you do.
Hugs,
