Latest News
Hello ladies,
Firstly thank you so much for all your comments and good wishes for Fiona. She has received some encouraging emails and beautiful hand made cards and they have been a great comfort to her.
She spent 11 days in hospital 9 days of which she was on intravenous antibiotics. She was apparently suffering from a serious case of septicaemia and was very ill for the first week or so. She is now home from hospital but is very tired and has been told that it will be a couple of months before she feels anything like back to her normal health ( not that that is all that brilliant at times). I'm glad to say that she is being sensible and not trying to do too much too early so I would imagine that it will be a few weeks before she is back crafting or blogging.
Thank you so much for your kind wishes and support. I hope that Fiona will be back in touch herself before too long.
Kindest regards,
William.

Health Update
Hello ladies,
I'm afraid that I am back again with bad news. After some months of particularly poor health Fiona has been taken in to Perth Royal Infirmary with a very badly swollen and inflamed left leg. Apparently all the chest infections that she has been suffering over the weeks have led to a situation that has left her with infection in her bloodstream. She has had a couple of days in the High Dependency Unit with intravenous lines feeding her antibiotics. Fortunately they seem to be working although I anticipate that she will be in for a few days yet and that even when she gets home she will need a long rest. This seems to have really floored her. She has tried so hard to get back to blogging but has been so tired lately - at least we now know the reason.
She wanted me to let you know why she will be missing for a while yet.
Kindest regards,
William.

Cute Card Thursday #212 - DT Card
Hi girls. You may well be forgiven for wondering where I have been for the last few weeks. It has been a succession of chest infections, pleurisy and even hospital referrals. I will not bore you with the details but I have had enough prodding, poking, scanning and needles for a while. Just glad I didn't end up stuck in hospital for a long time. I have just not been up to crafting or blogging and to be honest I am beginning to wonder when I'll get back in the full swing of things. I have so missed visiting my regular blogs and the chummy banter. Please bear with me.
I decided that I had better make the effort to fulfil my DT duties and I have made this card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday Challenge where the theme is
Spring Flowers.
The sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy so the prize will be fabulous so go on give the challenge a try and join in the fun.
I have made this very simple card (I don't have the energy for much more). The image is from Country Companions and so are the papers. I used a dark blue bazzil as a mount and the ribbon is from my stash. Not one of my very girlie creations but I hope you like it all the same. I would love to read any comments you might have time to leave.
Thanks for your patience and have a great day crafting and blogging. Above all stay safe and healthy

The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I used stickles to create the "4" on the sentiment.
I hope you like this card and would love to read any comments you might like to leave.

Study in Lilac
Hi girls. You could be forgiven for thinking that I had dropped off the edge of the planet because I have not exactly been active in blogland lately. I am trying to keep my hand in but just don't have the energy most of the time. Anyway enough of that. A warm welcome and thank you for calling in on me. I hope that your week has started well and that you are enjoying your crafting and blogging.
I made this card with no challenge in mind. I simply fancied making something in shades of lilac. The image is Lilli of the Valley's "Best Friends" and is coloured using my Copics. The design papers is are from Papermania's "Capsule Boysenberry" and I have used lilac bazzil as a mount. The punched border across the middle is Martha Stewart's "Double Arches" and the flowers are from Wild Orchid. The ribbon, gems and stickles are from my stash and the corner is cut with a Cuttlebug Vintage die.

Cute Card Thursday #202 - DT Card
Hi girls. Welcome to my wee blog. I am so pleased that you have had time enough to drop in on me. I hope that you enjoy your visit. I am afraid that I have still been missing from blogland because of my recent health but I am fortunately a few weeks ahead with my DT work so I can post this card for the new Cute Card Thursday Challenge where the theme is
Buttons and Bows
The sponsor this week is Love to Stamp so we have a fabulous prize up for grabs. The DT have produced some cards to help inspire you with ideas so hop over to the Challenge Site and have a look and have a go for yourself - we would love you to join in.
I have gone for a very simple layout. I have used a dark green card as the base. I have stamped a Hero Arts Clings Wreath on a circular white card. I have then mounted numerous buttons an gems around it. The light green scalloped mount is bazzil. I used the same bazzil and white card to punch borders using a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbon is from my stash.
I hope you like it and that you might have a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think. I love reading what you have to say.
I hope you have a great day, enjoy your crafting and blogging and above all stay safe and healthy.

A Card for Daniel
Hi girls. Welcome to my blog. I am so pleased that you have visited and I just hope that you like what you find here. I don't really deserve your attention and I must apologise that I have not been keeping up with my blogging for the last few days. I have just not been up to it. Don't know what the problem is but I just have no energy so I have been resting as much as possible. Anyway, enough of my moaning, I have a card that I just had to make because today is the 3rd birthday of my gorgeous wee grandson, Daniel.
I have inked up "Magnolia's Winner takes All - Football Edwin", an Edwin image from one of my Magnolia club collections and coloured him with my Copics. The background is from my Nitwits Bumbleberry Cottage FBQ and I used bazzil as a mount. The large "3" and "Grandson" were cut on my Cricut and I replaced the the "5" on Edwin's vest on the stamp with a "3". It's a very simple card but when your 3 I don't think you need a very elaborate card.
I am not entering this card into any challenges.
It would be great if you had a minute to leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this. I love to read what you have to say and value every opinion you give.
I hope to feel like visiting you blogs today. I so much miss keeping up to date. have a great day, enjoy everything you do and above all stay safe and healthy.

A Very Special Anniversary
Hi girls welcome to my little corner of cyberspace. I am so pleased that you have found a minute to drop in on me. I hope you enjoy your visit.
I am afraid that I have been a very poor blogger again for a few days but I have just not had the "oomph" lately. However while I was out of commission and not going near my craftroom hubby took the opportunity to do something I have been dreaming of for ages. When he did out the small bedroom as a new craftroom for me some months ago he left the old carpet - a horrible green thing that I have never liked. Well it has gone to be replaced by some beautiful maple wood flooring. It's gorgeous and makes the room so light. Poor thing rediscovered muscles he had forgotten he had.
This card was made for a very special couple celebrating a landmark anniversary. William's oldest sister and husband had their Golden Wedding Anniversary yesterday. They are so devoted to each other and have been so close to us over the years. I am entering this card into two challenges. Firstly Moving Along With The Times where the theme is "Things with Wings" and secondly Delightful Challenges where the theme is "Distressing/Vintage" - I have gone for the vintage look.
I have used gold mirra card and cream bazzil as mounts and background. The main panel is a patterned gold mirra card. The hearts are die cut and the pattern on them is created by using a swirl stamp with versafine and heat embossing with gold embossing powder. The butterflies are cut using a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbons are from my stash and the lettering is created on MS Word.
As always any comments you might have time to leave will be so much appreciated. I value all you say about my cards. Have a great day, enjoy your crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

Hi girls. Thanks for dropping in on my wee blog today. You are most welcome to browse around and take what ideas might feel worth having. I would love to think that my work gives some inspiration to others - I know I get a lot from browsing blogs.
I've had a couple of bad health days this week but I was cheered up immensely when I heard today that I won the candy put up by Lisa Jane over at My Makes 'n' Me. You should give her blog a visit she is a very talented lady.
Well it's Thursday again and time for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge where the theme this week is
Music and Dance
so why not nip over there, have a look at the fabulous DT creations and have a go yourself. There will be a fantastic prize up for grabs because this week's sponsor is Whimsey Stamps.
For my card I have inked up one of my favourite Penny Black images called "Ode to Joy" and coloured it using my Copics. The design papers I unfortunately don't have names or makes for but I have combined them with bazzil as a mount. The flowers are of course from Wild Orchid although there are one or two others in there too. The ribbon is from my stash.
Any comments you might have time to leave will be welcomed with great interest because I love reading your views on my cards. I get so much help from them.
I hope you all have a great day, have success in whatever you are doing, enjoy you crafting and blogging and most importantly stay safe and healthy.

The poinsettia is cut using a Marianne Designs die and the border is cut using a Martha Stewart punch. the ribbons and gems are from my stash.

Just Doodling
High girls, welcome to my wee blog. I hope you enjoy a good browse. I am so pleased that you have found time to drop in. I have had a good play about with my CD set of Tatty Teddies to produce these two cards. I normally prefer stamped images "but you know who moans" a bit about all the discs I have that I never use (according to him) - he just doesn't understand lol.
The first card is a Tatty Teddy with balloon and parcels. I coloured it with my Copics and used design papers from the disc along with some bazzil as a mount. the ribbon and gems are from my stash.
The second card is actually decoupaged from an image I printed more than once to get the pieces I needed. The papers are from the CD and one of my Nitwits collections with bazzil as a mount and again I used Copics to colour. The white panel is embossed using a Swiss Dots folder. The heart border across the middle is also from the CD rom. The flowers and gems are from my stash.
I am not entering any challenges with these cards - I made them for the fun of it.
If you have any comments to make on these - maybe even just to express a preference - I would love to read what you have to say. I know it takes more time but I would love to hear from you if you have a minute to spare.
Have a great day and above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #199 - DT Card
Hi girls. Thanks for dropping in on my blog today. I am so pleased to have you here. I hope you find something that gives you some ideas or inspiration.
This card is my first this year for Cute Card Thursday after a short break over the holidays. the theme for the challenge this week is:-
You're Having a Laugh
so we want to see something funny or lighthearted. The sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy so there will be a fabulous prize up for grabs so drop over, have a look at the wonderful DT gallery and have a go for yourself.
I must admit I struggled a wee bit with this one myself because I don't have any comic images so I went for this cheeky (in more ways than one) "Fairy Kiki" from Stampavie by Mo manning. I coloured her with my copics. It was certainly a good exercise in doing skin tones. The design papers are "Summer Breeze" from Trimcraft and I also used bazzil as a mount. The border was cut using a Martha Stewart deep border punch and the dragonfly was cut with another MS punch. The flowers are by Wild Orchid and the glitter, gems and ribbon are from my stash.
If you have any thoughts on this card please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for your time - have a great day and keep safe and healthy.
