Oldie But A Goodie

Hi girls. welcome to my blog. I am so pleased to have you dropping in. Well winter seems to be arriving. We are having heavy sleet showers and winds. The temperature is dropping and if this lot freezes we are in trouble.
Anyway onto today's card. I am entering this triangular trifold card into the current Oldie but  a Goodie Challenge where apart from using an old stamp the theme this time is "No Red or Green".

I have inked up Lili of the Valley's "Christmas Angels - Praying". I coloured her with Copics. The papers are from a Nitwits Collection and I have also used bazzil as a mount. The deep border punch is by Martha Stewart and the snowflakes are cut with EK Success and Woodware punches. the ribbon with the diamonte sliders and the gems and glitter are from my stash. the cloud was made with a pen which when you heat the ink fluffs up.
I hope you like this card and that you might even have a minute to leave a comment for me. I love reading what you have to say.
I hope you have a great day. enjoy good weather and above all stay safe and healthy.

Creative Inspirations #139

Hi girls. Sorry I have been a bit tardy again. Good days and bad days I'm afraid. I'm so glad you have called in again. I hope you are well and having blogging and crafting fun. I trust that you might like what is on offer today. We are getting awfully close to December now so it's Christmas cards all the way for a while. I hope your preparations are well in hand.
I am entering this card into the Creative Inspirations Challenge where the theme is "Winter Colours". They are looking for creations in "Blue. Grey and White".
I have inked up Lili of the Valley's "Moonlight Wishes" and coloured her with Copics, silver ink and gel pens. The design paper is one of my digi papers and I used navy sparkly card and mirra card to mount.. The ribbon is silver grey and I used a Fiskars holly punch for the border. I am a bit disappointed with the photo because the poinsettias because they don't actually look as though they were cut from silver mirra card (but they were, honestly) and the copious amounts of glitter don't show very well. I used pearls for the centres of the poinsettias.
I hope you like (or dislike) this enough to leave a comment. I value your opinions. Have a great day and above all stay safe and healthy.

A Tatty Teddy for Christmas

Hi girls. I hope you all had a great weekend and are fully recharged for the week ahead. I am so pleased that you have dropped in on my blog - you are very welcome to have a good browse about. I hope you find something you like and maybe even find something that gives you a wee bit of inspiration.
Today's card is not being entered into any challenges. I just made it among my selection for sending out at Christmas.
I printed out a "Tatty Teddy" from my CD Rom and Mounted it on red bazzil on top of a red mirra card with snowflakes. The presents are coloured using Copics. The pionsettias are cut from gold mirra card and embossed. I also used glossy accents to top the presents.
I hope you like this card. It's a bit more basic than my usual style but I enjoyed the change. I would love to read your views on it if you have a minute to leave me a comment. I appreciate everything you say.
Well, have a great week and enjoy your crafting. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Hi girls. Thanks for dropping in, I am so pleased you found the time. I hope you like what is on offer today. I don't know what your weather has been like but here we have had a few dry days and yesterday we actually had sunshine. It was beautiful looking out although when you stuck your nose out the door you were struck with wall of very cold air. At least there is no sign of the white stuff yet.
Anyway it's Cute Card Thursday time again and the challenge this week is a colour combo -

Green and Grey

My card this week has edges cut using Edgibilities on my new Grand Caliber. My first play with it so please forgive any little irregularities. The image is the Docrafts Sleigh heat embossed with silver detail embossing powder. I added some colour with Copics. The paper is a magazine freebieand I used spotted bazzil as a mount. The flowers are home made out of silver mirra board and the flowers, gems, glitter and ribbon are all from my stash.
I am not sure if this card works and I would love to hear your opinions of it if you have a spare minute to leave a comment. I really love to find out what you think of my cards.

Delightful Challenges - Snowflakes

Hi girls. I am so glad you could join me on my blog today - a very warm welcome. I am slowly beginning to get back into the swing of things and this is the first time in a while that I have posted cards two days running. I must try to get back up and running fully. How are things with you - well I hope. Winter is beginning to make itself obvious here with cold wet days. It's getting dark in mid afternoon some days it's so gloomy. Anyway I hope You find some here to bring a little bright spot to your day.

I am entering this card into the latest Delightful Challenges competition where they want us to use snowflakes on our creations.
I have shown two piccies of this card to show how it opens out and give a better idea of the layout I have used. I have inked up Lili of the Valley's "Skating Along" and coloured this cutie using my Copics. The design paper is "Winter Wonderland" by Crafts House. I cut the poinsettia with a Marianne Designs die and the snowflakes were created using a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbon, gems and glitter are all from my stash and the corner is from Wild Orchid.
I hope you like this card and would be more than grateful if you had a minute to leave a comment letting me know what you think of it. Any constructive criticism is welcomed.
Do have a great day and enjoy your crafting and blogging. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday # 190 - DT Card

Hi girls. A very warm welcome to my wee blog - it's fantastic to have you visiting here. I do hope you find some crafting delights that please the eye. We are getting well into November already so over at Cute Card Thursday the theme for the challenge this week is:

Reds for Remembrance

so we want to see plenty of red on your cards. This time round the sponsor who will be offering a fabulous prize for the lucky winner is Simon Says Stamp so after you have had a gander at the DT creations on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog why not have a go for yourself and be in line to pick up a fantastic prize.

My offering this week is a very traditional Remembrance Day poppy card. I have used one of my favourite digi images created by Teri over at Delicious Doodles (her artwork is stunning - well worth a visit to her site). I have coloured this using a mix of Promarkers and Copics. The design paper is from the "No Worries" paper stack by GCD Studios and a spotted Bazzil (you need to zoom in tight to see the spots) as a mount. The second photo shows that I used a strip of the DP to embellish the inside of the card. The ribbon and "nail heads" are from my stash and the sentiment was created in Microsoft Word on my laptop.
I hope there is enough about this simple card (good or bad) to encourage you to leave a comment telling me what you think of it. I do value everything you say about my creations. I also love to know who has been visiting.
I hope you are having a good week so far, getting ready for the weekend and above all that you are managing to stay safe and healthy.

The papers are from "At Christmas Time" by Papermania. The poinsettia was cut with a Marriane Designs die and the corners were done with a Cuttlebug die. The ribbons and the charm are from my stash.

Cute Card Thursday #189 - DT Card

Hi girls. Thank you so much for dropping in on my blog today. I am so pleased to have you here and I hope you find something you like. How is your crafting going - well I hope.
It's Thursday again and time for the new Cute Card Thursday challenge where the theme this week is:-

Baby Your A Firework
(use glittery, sparkly, bright colours)

and the sponsor putting up a fabulous prize this week is The Stamps Shoppe so why not hop over and see the creations from the other DT Members and have a go yourself.
The challenge title which I have used to create a sentiment comes from the Katy Perry song so I decided to put in as many fireworks as possible. The image is a photo of a fireworks display I downloaded from Google Images. I used black corners as picture mounts. The design paper is an unknown but I have covered it with a mas  of flower heads from an Artemio stamp and heat embossewd them with white embossing powder. I thought that the looked like firework bursts. I used oodles of glitter from my stash which you should see if you zoom in on the photograph. The ribbon is also from my stash.
Your comments on this card would be welcomed. I do so love reading what you have to say. If it's your first visit to my blog do leave a comment and then I will be able to link back to your blog and have a look at your work. Have a great day, enjoy your crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

I have used Bazzil as a mount. The snowflakes are cut using Martha Stewart and EK Success punches. The panel across the middle (almost totally obscured by the bow and snowflake) is cut with a Fiskars Holly Border punch. The nailheads, gold ribbon and glitter are all from my stash.

I've done it again haven't I

Hi girls.
I am afraid I've done it again. I have been trying to get my Christmas cards done on days I've been feeling better and I had started putting them into scheduled posts before typing in descriptions. Stupid me scheduled them for 1st November and of course they had all posted on my blog this morning minus descriptions. My intention was to use them throughout November and December to help me get back to posting a card a day because I'm not yet up to crafting every day. I've deleted the posts and will start an orderly posting tomorrow. Thanks for the comments you left before I deleted them. I appreciate every one of them. I am so sorry for being so silly.
