Hi girls. I hope all is well with you today. I am so pleased you have had time to drop in on my blog and I hope you like today's creation. It really is getting near the end of the year (where has all the time gone) and I have decided that it is well past time to start making some Christmas cards. I am not entering this into any challenges.
I have inked up Magnolia's "Frosty the Snowman" and coloured him with my Copics. The papers are from one of my Nitwits Collections. The snowflakes are made up using a large Martha Stewart punch and a smaller EK Success punch. The strip across the centre is punched with a Fiskars snowflake border punch. The stickles and gems are from my stash.
Any comments you might have time to leave for me will be more than welcomed. I love reading what you have to say about my cards so please feel free to let me know what you think of it.

Something Completely Different - My Memories Suite

This post is a sticky and will stay at the top of my blog until midnight on Sunday 25th September. Please scroll down for the most recent post.

Hi girls. Thanks for visiting me here on my blog. I hope all is well with you and yours and that you are enjoying your crafting.
Today I am taking a giant leap out of my comfort zone. I have long admired the fabulous crafters who are into journaling and scrapbooking and envy their artistic abilities in producing everything from scratch. It’s something I have steered well clear of.
Well I have been given an opportunity to try out the My Memories Suite, digital scrapbooking software that allows even the likes of me to do something with the hundreds of photos of holidays and family that I have stored on computer and disc, and give you all the opportunity to win a fantastic free download of the My Memories Suite or avail yourself of a discount code for the My Memories Suite if you don’t win the prize.

Let me start off by saying that what you see above is my very first attempt at anything like this and only scratches the surface of the capacity of this fantastic software. The software allows you to design your own layouts but also has many standard templates for you to use for your scrapbooking pages/books and allows you to import images that you can edit by applying various effects such as cropping, shadowing and outlining. There are options to import text, papers, backgrounds, embellishments, audio, video and music. The finished book can be saved to disc as an interactive file, saved in JPEG format to embed in blogs or files, printed out as a book or emailed to friends and family. I found this so easy to use which is good because my computer skills are pretty basic. What you see above took me 20minutes to produce.

How do you enter the prize draw?

Visit the My Memories site and have a look around. If you see something you like come back here and leave a comment telling me what you found and what you liked about it. The prize draw entries will close at midnight BST on Sunday 25th September. I will draw a winner and email them the instructions to get their free copy of the My Memories Scrapbooking Suite. This is worth nearly $40.

For Everyone .....

If you want to buy anything from the site after the prize draw is over you can use promotional code STMMMS59230 to get $10 discount on My Memories Scrapbook Software and $10 discount on anything else in the store. You will just need to click on the link I will leave in my sidebar to access the site. There is no time limit on this offer.

I am looking forward to sorting out all my photographs now. This software has opened up new vistas for me. I hope you enter the draw and find something over at My Memories that you fancy.

I hope you have a good week and enjoy your crafting. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #183 - DT Card

Hi girls. Thanks for calling in on me today. I hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying your crafting and blogging. Well Thursday is here again and another week is almost over. Time just seems to be flying by. Did you notice at the top of my blog that I have $40 worth of Scrapbooking software to give away. Why not enter the draw!!
My card today is my DT card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge where this week there is a great sketch by Mindy to follow.

The challenge this week is sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

I have inked up one of my favourite Lili of the Valley stamps called "Fairy Friends" and coloured it using my Copics. The design papers are from one of my Nitwits Collections and I have embellished the card with flowers from Wild Orchid with gems, ribbon and glitter from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart Double Loop border punch for the horizontal strip across the middle and cut the leaves with another MS punch. The doily is die cut.
I enjoyed using this fabulous sketch and I hope you like the result. It would be great if you could find a minute to leave a comment telling me what you think of it. Why not pop over to the challenge blog and have a go yourself. There are some gorgeous DT cards there to give you a bit of inspiration.
Have a great day and above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #182 - DT Card

Hi girls. I hope you are all well and having a lot of success with your crafting. I appreciate you visiting me here in my corner of the web and I hope you feel that your visit is worthwhile. The weather here this week has varied from gale force winds and heavy rain to brilliant sunshine. I do hope that wherever you are you have managed to avoid the ravages of the storms.
This is my DT Card for the latest Cute Card Thursday Challenge where the theme this week is everybody's favourite

Anything Goes

The Design Team have put together a fabulous gallery of cards to encourage the creative juices so why not pop over for a peek before joining in the fun. Our sponser this week is Kellie Winnell at Tickled Pink so there are some great goodies up for grabs.

My card owes most of it's components to Sharon Duncan's CD Rom. I got the image from there and decoupaged it and the paper is on the disc as well. I "kite folded" some of the paper to make the rosette. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I used a Xcut border punch on lilac card and silver mirraboard for the band across the middle.
I hope you like (or dislike) this card enough to leave a comment telling me what you think of it. I value all constructive criticisms. Have a great day and stay safe and healthy.

A Man Card and an Apology/Warning

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in on my blog. I hope you enjoy your visit here and perhaps find something that will bring a smile. I hope all is well in your corner of blogland and that your crafting is going well.
Before I get to my card I would like to put on record an apology to some of you who are on my emailing address list and warn you all about a scam that seems to be about.
I received an email from a dear blogging friend (which she did not send) inviting me to join her on a site called "Live Health Club". This is a genuine site but the email when you open it gives them access to your address list whether or not you accept the offer to join up. Worse still they ask for your email account password!!! If you give your password they have complete access to your account. They use the address list to send an email supposedly from you inviting your address list to join you on their site. If you got such an email supposedly from me please delete it without opening it. To be safe I have checked all my account settings to make sure that nothing has been altered and I have changed my password. If you get such an email and open it you should do likewise. I apologise if any of you got such an email from my account but I did not send it. Please be warned.
Now on to the card I have posted today. This is a card I made for my Brother-in-Law's birthday some time ago but have never posted. I am not entering it into any challenges. Being a man card it took me out of my comfort zone a bit. The image is "Bird in a circle" from Hero Arts and I used Copics to colour it. The design papers are "Gentle Impressions" by Trace Industries plus an unknown. I used cardstock as a mount. The sentiment is by Stampendous  and the ribbons are from my stash.
I hope you like this card, and, as always, I would love to read your opinions if you have time to leave a comment.
I hope your week starts well and that you enjoy your crafting. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #181 - DT Card

Hi girls. Another week seems to be flashing past. Is it an age thing or is time speeding up? Anyway I am glad you have found time to drop in on my blog. I only hope that you like what you find here on offer.
Has anybody any idea where summer has gone. I must have missed it this year. The nights are drawing in and I don't remember days of sunshine from dawn till dusk.
Anyhoo - it's time again for my DT card for Cute card Thursday where the theme this week is

At the Office.

The idea is to make a card using things you would find in an office (staples paperclips etc.). The challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamps so it will be well worth winning. Why not pop over to the challenge blog and see what the other DT members have produced and join in the fun.
For my card I have inked up Magnolia's "Tilda Writing Diary" and coloured her using my Copics. The papers were free in a magazine and I used red bazzil as a mount. The string, staples, paper clips and pins are all from my stash.
I would really appreciate it if you had a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think of this card.  I really value every comment that is left for me.
Stay safe and healthy.

Lili of the Valley #110

Hi girls. I hope you all got off to a good start of the week and that you are enjoying your crafting and blogging. I am so pleased that you have found time to pop in here to see what's on offer and I hope you are not disappointed with what you find.
I made this card to enter the Lili of the Valley challenge where this week they have given a fabulous sketch by Pops to follow. The image I have inked up is Lili of the Valley's "Fairies Bouquet". I have coloured it using my Copics. The papers are from Nitwits Collections. I used a Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch, a Wild Orchid Corner (which is actually silver although you wouldn't believe it from the photo), a daisy die. The organza ribbon and gems are from my stash.
I really enjoyed making this card and would love to hear what you think of it if you have a minute to leave a comment for me. I do appreciate all you say so don't be shy.
I hope you have a great day and stay safe and healthy. Enjoy your crafting and blogging.

Truly Scrumptious #64 & Two Awards

Hi girls. A big welcome to my blog - it's great to have you here visiting. At the outset I have to give a "long post" warning since as well as my card I have two awards to acknowledge and pass on.
I made this card for the Truly Scrumptious Challenge where the theme is "Rocked Up Pink". They want us to create a card with pink as the prominent colour.
I have inked up Lili of the Valley's "Hello Cupcake" and coloured her with my Copics. The papers is an unknown I found in the bottom of my drawer. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the gems are from my stash. The card has triangular wings which open out.

This second photo shows how the card opens out to show the background paper inside.
I hope you like this card and if you had a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think I would be thrilled. I get so much help and encouragement from what you have to say.

I appreciate each and every one of you so please take the award. If you want to email me or mention in a comment that you have taken it please feel free.

Well that's it. I hope that as you go into a new week everything goes your way and that you manage to stay safe and healthy.

Creative Card Crew -Anything Goes

Hi girls. Great to have you here again. I hope that as you start off the weekend you have a lot of fun things lined up. I am in for a quiet weekend myself - recharging batteries - with a bit of crafting thrown in no doubt.
I made this card as a change from my usual girly style - a bit simpler than my normal but I enjoyed making this clean and simple card. I am entering it into the current Creative Card Crew challenge where the theme is "Anything Goes". I'm quite pleased with myself because this is my third card in three days - the first time I've managed that for a long time.
The stamp is one that my DIL Sarah brought up on holiday with her and I'm afraid we were so busy chatting that I forgot to take a note of its name and make. The flowers were cut using a medium retro punch and I finished them off with bling from my stash. The edge was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. The papers are craft and brown card to mount. The sentiment is Sarah's as well.
I hope you like this and I would love to hear what you think of it if you have a minute to leave a comment.
Have a great weekend and above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Daisy May - Autumn Colours

Hi girls. I am so glad to have you here visiting my blog. I hope you like what you find here. This is the first time for a long while that I have posted two days running. I hope that I might be able to get back into the swing of things properly.
I had a great time last week with my DIL Sarah when they were up. We crafted a lot and even managed a visit to Aberdeen and met up with Debbi from The Crafty Cuttings of Wiccababe. I am trying to catch up with my commenting.
I am entering this card into the Cute Daisy May Challenge where the theme is "Autumn Colours". The image is "Marshmallow Roast" by Stampalicious and I have used Copics to colour it in. The papers are both sides of "No Worries" by G.C.D. The sentiment is by Hero Arts and I have used glitter from my stash.
I hope you like this card and I would love to hear what you think of it if you have time to leave a comment.
I hope you have a great day, enjoy your crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

Cute Card Thursday #180 - DT Card

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in on my blog today - I really appreciate your visit. I hope you like what you find here.
You might remember that last month I was priveledged to be given a guest DT spot on Cute Card Thursday. Well, I have been asked to join the Design Team permanently. Imagine my surprise when the offer was made - of course I snapped up the opportunity before they changed their minds. So this card is my first as a full DT member.
The theme for this week's challenge is

Pinch and Punch

so we want you to get out the punches and see what you can produce.
The image I have used is "Wreath of Leaves" by Hero Arts. I have heat embossed it using copper embossing powder. The design paper is "Summer Breeze" from 1st Edition by Mindy Terasawe and I have used brown bazzil as a mount. The flowers are punched with a retro punch and I have used two Martha Stewart punched for the borders. The ribbon and stickles are from my stash.

I have included the second photo to show the strip of design paper in the inside of the card.
Why not pop over to the Cute Card Thursday Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations from the DT and join in the fun.
I hope you like this card and that you might have time to leave a comment to let me know what you think of it.
Now that the holiday with the family is over I hope to be back to normal blog visiting and commenting today - I look forward to seeing what you have all been creating while I have been missing in action.
Stay safe and healthy.
