Just Magnolia Week 112 - Butterflies

Hi girls. Thank you so much for calling in to see my blog. It's great to have you here and I hope you like what is on offer today. The weather has been mixed here in Kinross and many of the bedding plants we put in this year have been destroyed by wind and rain.
My card today was made for the current Just Magnolia challenge where the theme was "Butterflies". The card is a gate fold card. The image is Magnolia's "Tilda with Butterfly" and I have coloured her using my Copics. The design paper is 12" Abbey Road Vine by Bo Bunny. I have also used turquoise Bazzil as a mount. I have used flowers by Wild Orchid and some handmade ones as embellishments.

This is a close up of Tilda

The inside panel of the card has a the striped reverse side of the Bo Bunny paper as a backing  and the white message panel has corners cut with a Martha Stewart corner punch. The inside of the gates is an unknown greeen and white paper. I have added some small flowers and a  butterfly cut with a Martha Stewart punch.

Finally a view of the card with one of the gates fully open and one almost closed.
I hope you like this card and that you might have a minute to leave a comment telling me what you think of it. I really value your opinions and views.
I hope you have a great day crafting and that above all you stay safe and healthy.

By the Cute and Girly & An Award

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in to my blog - it's great to have you here. I hope you find something you like. Hopefully you are having a fantastic weekend. I have been out and about a bit the last few days and am really enjoying the new found freedom my portable oxygen concentrator is giving me. I am a bit tired but it's well worth it.
I made this card to enter the By the Cute and Girly June Challenge that had the theme "In the Garden". The card is made by cutting round the outline of an eliptical frame of branches and leaves I printed off a CD Rom. I cut a scalloped mount for the image (Sugar Nellie's "Country Style") out of brown card. The image is coloured using my Copics and the embellishments are Wild Orchid flowers and leaves cut using an MS punch. The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley. I photographed the card on a black background but I think that might have been a mistake - I hope it's not too dark.
I hope you might have a minute to leave me a comment telling me what you think of this creation. Your opinions are always welcome.

Charisma Cardz # 24 - Pink and Green

Hi girls thank you for calling in on my blog. Feel free to browse and hopefully you will find something you like - maybe even inspire you in your own crafting.
I have managed out and about (other than doctor visits) and on Monday night I went across to my friend Kathleen (The Daisy Chain) because she has started cardmaking classes in her home on a Monday and Tuesday nights. I had great fun just getting out and meeting crafters I haven't met before.
I am entering this card into the current Charisma Cards challenge where the have asked for a Pink and Green colour combination. The image is one of the Gorguss Girls called "Ruby" and was coloured using my Copics. The design papers are digis from Nitwit Collections and I used a pearlised card as a mount. The border punch is by Martha Stewart and I made the flowers using a Retro punch. The velvet ribbon, gems and glitter are from my stash.
I hope you like this but whether you do or not please leave a comment to let me know what you think and to let me know that you have visited. I value everything you say about my cards.
Have a great day crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

Back in My Comfort Zone

Hi girls. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend (even although the weather is dreadful). It's great for those who are working to have a chance to recharge the batteries I'm sure. Thanks for calling in on me again today. I'm not back in full swing yet but I've managed a good bit of commenting lately and managed to make this card which is a bit more in the normal mould for me.
I have inked up one of my newest Tildas and coloured her using my Copics. The papers are printed from one of my Nitwit Collections and I used card as a mount. The flowers are by Wild Orchid and the leaves were cut using an MS punch. The lace is from my stash.
I would love to hear from you what you think of this card. Your views are always welcomed and I look forward so much to reading what you have to say so if you have a minute please feel free to comment.
Enjoy your crafting and above all stay safe and healthy.

A Proper Little Miss

Hi girls. I am so glad you are able to visit today. Hopefully you'll like my offering. I am glad to say that I have mangaed a bit of commenting again and hopefully will be able to catch up today with those I have yet to visit.
Today's card is again a bit different from my usual but I couldn't resist this gorgeous Lili of the Valley image. The colours are not my usual pinks and pastels so I hope you like it.
The papers are scraps from the bottom of my stash drawer and I have used some orange bazzil as a mount. I used copics to colour the image. The border was punched with an EK Success punch. The flowers were punched and then enbossed. the gems and ribbons are from my stash.
I would love to know what you think of this so if you hav a minute please leave a comment.
Have a great day crafting and I wish you success in anything else you are doing. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Something Totally Different

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in on my blog. It's great to have you here. I hope you are enjoying a good weekend. The weather in this neck of the woods has been horrible and wet so it has been a weekend indoors so far. I had a play in my craftroom today and made this card which is definitely a change in style as far as I'm concerned. I am slowly getting back into the grove but still not back to normal so if I haven't commented on your blog lately please forgive me.
The image is one I was given some time ago and I'm afraid I don't know what it's called or who it's by. (Any suggestions?). I coloured this modern miss using my Copics. The papers are from one of my Nitwits digi collectionsand I used magenta card as a mount. i used up some small scraps using a Tim Holtz Shabby Flower Die and the brads and ribbon are from my stash. The band across the middle was cut with an EK Success border punch.
Anything you might want to say about this card will be welcomed. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Flashback Friday

Hi girls. I'm really pleased you could call in to my blog and I hope you like what you find here.
I have been feeling a bit better and managed to do a fair bit of commenting yesterday. At least I commented where Blogger would allow me to. I had a lot of bother signing in and kept going round in circles when I was trying to leave comments. I had a look online to find out what the problem might be and it appears that many people are having similar problems. Hey Ho I'll just have to keep trying. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
My friend Kathleen over at The Daisy Chain has set the challenge over at Flashback Friday and wants us to post the first card we ever posted with Summer Colours. Well this is mine. It was the card I ever posted away back on 2nd August 2009. Various papers, crocheted edge laced with ribbon, cricut butterfly kites in pink and white and of course magnolia stamp mounted on scalloped and plain oval Nesties. Coloured using Copic Ciao pens.
It's strange looking back nearly 2 years to see what I was creating then. I hope you like it and I would love to hear what you think of it. If you have a moment (and Blogger will let you) it would be much appreciated if you left a comment.
Have a great day and stay safe and healthy.
