Tilda for Fun

Hi girls. Can you believe that we are at the end of March already. Can better weather really be on the horizon - chance would be a fine thing. Anyway. It is nice of you to visit my blog. I trust that all is well with you. I know that some girls are having a rough time of it just now and I hope things improve soon for those in that position.
I hope you like today's offering. Again I am not entering it into any challenges - it was made for fun. I just can't face the deadlines for challenges at the minute. The image is Magnolia's "Tilda with a small Gift" and I coloured her using a combination of my Copics and Polychromous Pencils. The papers are from Meridian Enterprises Inc and I also used Bazzil as a mount. The flowers and ribbon are from my stash.
I would appreciate any comments you may have time to leave. I love reading them and value your opinions. I hope you have a great day and above all stay safe and healthy.

The One That Nearly got Away

Hi girls. Wednesday already - the weeks are just rushing in. I hope your week is going well and that you are enjoying your blogging and crafting. I am so glad you have popped in here and I hope you like what is on offer.
I started this card weeks ago just when I fell sick again and the challenges it was meant for are history now. I tried a few times to finish it off and at long last I have done it and thought I would post it anyway. The image is "Hello Cupcake" by Lili of the Valley. I have coloured it using my Copics. The papers are digital papers from one of the Nitwit Collections. I used Wild Orchid flowers and the lace and gems are from my stash.
It would be fantastic if you had a minute to leave a comment. I love to read what you have to say and I get so much help from your opinions.
Have a great day, enjoy you blogging and crafting and stay safe and healthy.

A Get Well Card

Hi girls. Welcome to my blog. I'm pleased you dropped in. I hope you like todays offering. I'm still just making cards for fun and I managed to do this one yesterday.
The image is "Bella Bunting" from the Krista Smith 2010 Collection for Sugar Nellie and I coloured her using my Copics. The papers are all freebies from a magazine and I used Bazzil to mount. The flowers are handmade and the glitter, ribbon and gems are all from my stash.
I had a great time making this one so I hope you like it. Any comments you have time to leave for me will be greatly appreciated. I get so much help and encouragement from your comments.
Have a great day and above all stay safe and healthy.

Tilda in Blue - Just for the Fun of it.

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in on me. I hope you have had a restful weekend and that you are fit and ready for the week ahead. I know some of you have been a bit under the weather and I hope that you are all on the mend. Hopefully your visit here will bring a little sunshine and that you will find something you like.
This card was not made for any specific challenge. I was just playing around in the craftroom with some bits and pieces and this is the result. I quite enjoyed just playing about so I thought it would be worth sharing with you. The image is Magnolia's "Tilda with Lamb" and I have coloured her using my Copics. The papers are a mix of Stampin Up and downloads and I used dark blue Bazzil as a mount. I used a stencil to create the large backing circle and heat embossed using pale blue embossing powder. The flowers are punched out in dark and pale blue card and I have used liquid pearls from my stash.
I got a lot of pleasure out of making this and I hope you like it. It would be fantastic if you had time to leave a comment to let me know what you think of it. Constructive criticism is always useful.
I hope you have a successful day and that you manage to stay safe and healthy.

Sketch & Stash #57

Hi girls. Thanks for calling in on my blog today. I hope you are having a great weekend and that the batteries are recharged for the beginning of the week. I feel that it is only fair to issue a photo warning before you get into this post because there are quite a few photographs. Apologies but they are needed to show the full layout of the card.
I intend to enter this card into the Sketch and Stash Challenge because it is based on their wonderful sketch although I have chosen to make an easel card. This one has the added element of the main panel being split so that it opens out to reveal the inside of the card.  I think it's called a gatefold easel card.

Main Panel Closed

Inside with the Doors Open

Base Panel

I have inked up Lili of the Valley's "Glamorous Gardening" and coloured it up using my Copics. The design papers are downloads from the delicious Nitwits Collections and I have used pink bazzil as a mount. The flowers are from my stash of Wild Orchid stuff (I love WO flowers) and the butterfly on the base is cut using a Martha Stewart punch. I have also put a tiny dragonfly cut with a Woodware punch on the image panel ( easy to miss it's so dainty). The sentiments are from LOTV and Inkadinkado.
I hope you like this card because I really enjoyed making it and I look forward to reading any comments that you are kind enough to leave for me.

By the Cute & Girly & Crafters Companion #10 & Whoopsi Daisy

Hi girls. Welcome to my blog. I'm glad that I have something to post for you after being missing for nearly a couple of weeks. I am not completely over the infections but am glad to have been able to visit some blogs and even make a card. I really miss crafting but until now I have just not felt up to it. I hope I can keep it up and that I am back for a good. Thank you to all of you who left concerned comments, emailed and particularly for the cards I received.
My card is being entered into three monthly challenges. By the Cute and Girly had the theme "Spring Time", Crafters Companion had "Easter" and Whoopsi Daisy wanted "Ribbons and Charms". The image is Magnolia's "Tilda with Stuffed Animal" coloured using my Copics. I thought she needed something to sit on so I have drawn in a cushion for her to sit on - I hope it doesn't look too much like a flying magic carpet lol. The papers are by Nancy Watt and I used Bazzil as a mount. The flowers are "cushion" cut outs and the ribbon and flower charm are from my stash.
I hope that you might have a minute to leave a comment letting me know what you think of this card. I value what you have to say and love reading your views.
I trust you will have a great weekend and I hope you have lots of crafting time. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Live is Wheezy

Hello again ladies.
I am afraid to report that Fiona is very poorly just now. Another raging chest infection, another 10 day course of antibiotics and steroids and the threat of hospital looming in the background. I think the long cold damp winter is taking it's toll. Every time she leaves the house (and that is not often) the wheezing and coughing gets worse. She is due to go to hospital next Wednesday to see the Consultant who put her on oxygen 24/7 so maybe something will come out of that. We'll see.

She hopes to be fit enough to get round your blogs over the weekend.

Thank you all for your kind comments and especially for the cards she has been sent. It is much appreciated.

Regards,

William

A Card Without a Challenge

Hi girls. Thank you for calling in again, I appreciate you taking the time. I hope all is well with you. I am afraid that I haven't made a card again so I am posting another extra one I made last week when I felt a bit better. I didn't have a great day yesterday but managed to get round most of my regular blogs. I will be going to the doctor later on today so I hope I get a better idea as to why I can't shake off these these persistent chest infections.
Anyway, enough moaning and on to the card I have got. The image is "Blue Haze" from Lili of the Valley and I have coloured it using my Copics (although I chose browns and not blues). The papers are from The Luxury Stack from DCWV and I used plain card as a mount. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the ribbon is from my stash. I have used shimmer. stickles and glitter but as usual they don't show well on the photograph.
I would love it if you had time to leave a comment because I value your opinion so go on tell me what you think of it.
Have a great day and stay healthy.

One I had up my Sleeve

Hi girls. Welcome to my blog. I hope you find something here that you like so that you feel your visit is worthwhile. I really appreciate your visit.
I am afraid I have been struggling today so I am posting a card I was able to make as an extra card on one of my good days. I am not entering it into any challenges.
I inked up Lili of the Valley's "Birthday Fairy" and I coloured her using my Copics. The papers are one from Kanban and a couple from a CDRom. I used Bazzil as a mount. The flowers are handmade by me and the ribbon and gems are from my stash. I used liberal amounts of fairy sprinkles.
I hope you like this offering and that you might have a minute to leave a comment to let me know what you think of it.
I trust that your week starts well and that you manage to stay safe and healthy.

Three in One

Hi girls. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Thank you for coming to visit me in my wee corner of cyber space. You are more than welcome. Have a good browse and I hope you find something you like.
My card today was made with three challenges in mind. The sketch I followed was from Sunday Sketch and Stamp, Sentimental Sundays wanted "Pearls and Lace" and Totally Tilda had the theme "Fruity Tilda". I have inked up magnolia's "Tilda with Blueberries" and coloured her with Copics. I'm afraid I don't ha a name for the design papers but they are mounted on Bazzil. the punched border was created using an EK Success punch. the ribbon, lace, pearl drops and Wild Orchid flowers are all from my stash.
I enjoyed making this card and I hope you like it. Why not leave me a comment to let me know what you think. I know it takes a bit of extra time but I really value your views and I love to know who has been visiting.
Have a great weekend, enjoy whatever you do and stay safe and healthy.

One Card Four Challenges

Hi girls. Hope all is well with you. Thank you for calling in on me here - I hope you find something you like. Believe it or not we have had snow again - not a lot but enough to remind us that we are not out of the woods yet. When will Spring come?
My card today is being entered into four challenges:-
Sketch Saturday who gave us a fabulous sketch to follow,
Secret Crafters who wanted a patchwork background (I have tried to create the effect with the ribbon sectioning off the design paper),
Creative Inspirations wanted us to use templates (I hope Nesties qualify)
Allsorts wanted a card for a teenager.
I have inked up Lili of the Valley's "Little Girls Tea Time" and coloured it using my Copics. The design paper is Tim Holtz Shabby Chic. the embellishments are die cut corners, Wild Orchid flowers, lace, stickles and glitter - all from my stash. the border is cut with a Martha Stewart border punch and the leaves are also cut using an MS punch.
I hope you like this offering and I would love it if you could find the extra time to leave a comment. I love reading what you have to say.
Have a great day, stay safe and healthy and enjoy the weekend ahead.

Stamp Something

Hi girls. Well we are more than half way through another week - where does the time go to. I am so pleased that you have been able to spare some time to visit my blog. A very warm welcome. I hope you find something that appeals to you.
The card today is being entered into the Stamp Something challenge where they want us to use something Digi. The image is LOTV's "Fairies - Bouquet" coloured using my trusty Copics. The papers are all digis and are mounted on bazzil. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the ribbon, stickles, glitter and gems are all from my stash. I'm not sure the glitter shows very well on the photograph. The band across the middle of the card is cut using an EK Success border punch.
It would be brilliant if you had the time to leave a comment to let me know what you think of this card. I would really appreciate your views.
Have a great day, enjoy your crafting and blogging and above all stay safe and healthy.

I have inked up the LOTV image "New Hat" and coloured it using my Copics. I have paperpieced and decoupaged the shoes and the dress. The design paper is SEI Juliette and I used silver Mirri to mount. The flowers are cut with a Marianne Designs die and the ribbons and brads are from my stash. The sentiment is handmade.
I would love to know what you think of this card so if you have a minute please feel free to leave a comment. Constructive criticism is welcomed.

Creative Crafts - Thank You

Hi girls. I hope you are all well. Thank you for calling in on my blog and for all the caring comments you left when I was ill. It is such a comfort to know that you care. Today's card is a Thank You to each and everyone of you who left messages. It's great to be back on my blog again. I am still not 100% but I am feeling well enough for my personal nurse/jailer lol (he's so caring really) to let me back to my craftroom to make a card. I'm still waiting for test results but I do feel a lot better.
I intend to enter this card into the Creative Crafts Challenge where the theme is "Thank You". The image is "Leaning Tilda" from the Magnolia Your So Special series and is coloured using Copics. The design papers are from the Nitwit collection and I used pearlescent card as a mount. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I used a Stampin Up punch for the green blooms on the border. The sentiment is handmade.
I hope you will be able to leave a comment to let me know what you think of this because I love to know your opinions. Have a great day and enjoy your crafting and blogging. Above all stay safe and healthy.

Update

Hello ladies,
Just a quick update on Fiona. Thankfully the antibiotics and steroids seem to be kicking in and she is definitely improving. She has had blood tests and chest Xrays and we still await the results. The good news is that she has been in her craft room for short periods mainly stroking things and I would expect her to be back blogging in a few days. Your good wishes and messages of support have been a great encouragement to her and she is dying to get back in the swing of things but I am keeping a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't overdo things because she tires very quickly. All being well the next post on her blog will be from her and by that time she'll be back catching up on all your cards.
She sends her love and best wishes to you all.
Kindest regards,
William
